This is a cosy wee cottage, on the edge of a working farm steading. Centred on a snug sitting room with a wood-burning stove (wood provided). The kitchen opens on to an enclosed garden. The cottage is idyllically set, nestled at the foot of Ben Vorlich, and 100 yards from Loch Earn. The Loch has gravel shores and permit fishing is available. The location is ideal for access to hill-walking golfing and fishing throughout Perthshire and the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. WIFI in place.

Other things to note

The cottage is on a working farm, so there is livestock and there are vehicle movements. That said we lived in this cottage for with two small children and a puppy. The enclosed garden is secure, and there is plenty of space nearby.

Lovely time staying at this cottage. It is as described, very quiet and relaxing. The cabin is a right on the walking trails and very close to the Loch so things to see. Also so lovely little villages close by. Lovely stay, thanks!

We really enjoyed our holiday. The cottage was exactly as we imagined it to be. The pictures and the description are very accurate. It is great for hiking, but I wouldn't recommend to stay longer than a week, because there isn't that much to see. The cottage is clean and the fireplace creates a very cosy feeling. It is located on a sheep farm, and there were a lot of cute animals. All and all we can definitly recommed this place!

Jamie's and Laura's cottage is situated near the sheep farm and a lake. It is very romantic and calm there. We didn't miss anything during the stay. The communication with Jamie was easy. Highly recommended!

From Lochearnhead and the A84, take the South Loch Earn Road and just before 3 miles you will come across a hump back bridge with "10T" roadsigns. Turn very sharp right immediately after the bridge through a stone gateway and head up the lane. The Steading is the cottage on the left. This shepherd's cottage has views over the loch which is a minute's walk away. The path to the mountain Ben Vorlich runs past the cottage . There is a most beautiful rhododendron garden circling a narrow waterfall gorge off that path 30 metres up from the cottage. This alone made the holiday worth it. We hired small fishing motorboats from exactly the other side of the loch at Drummond Boat Hire next to the fish farm. Only £39 per boat for 4 hours! That was a fantastic day. We went pony trekking too - there are many stables around. The Steading itself was more than roomy enough for only the 4 of us and the facilities were a bit basic but certainly sufficient. The wifi was slow compared to city standards but a godsend in this modern age. We used it to make audio and video calls as our mobile phones had patchy signal (better in the middle of the loch for some reason). The loch is a great place to cycle as the south road is single track and mostly flattish. There are quite a lot of fisherman around the loch with their inevitable cars, but because the road is single track and not hedged, we considered it safe for the children to cycle on. I hope to be back :)
