Don't look any further! This is the best place to stay in Amman. if you want to stay at a nice and quiet but very central location. Nearby rainbowstr with lots of nice bars and restaurants. But the apartment itself is in a nice quiet area very nearby, walking distance. The apartment itself is very new, there was even some plastic around furniture, so new! Also nice balcony with nice view. We had a lovely warm welcome and also very much appreciated some drinks and snacks in the fridge and a drinking water tank upon arrival. When we noticed there weren't any pans to cook the owner immediately brought us some new pans. What a great service. Location, friendly people, new good apartment with extras: the best!!! Thank you Jamal and Khaled!much appreciated

Wow, where to begin! My business partner and I decided to travel to Amman, during holiday in Jordan because of its vibrant culture, and the fact that it is often overlooked for the more popular tourism sites. We looked on Airbnb and were actually thinking about getting a hotel until I came across Khaled and Jamals place. The price was fantastic, the views over the penthouse sold us on the listing and immediately, we were in clear communication. Upon arriving to Amman, Jamal was outside to meet us and check us in. We could hardly make it up the stairs (there are many stairs to get to the top penthouse which adds to the anticipation) before stopping to take pictures over the beautiful views overlooking all of downtown Amman. Upon walking in, Jamal, who has a fantastic personality and is a great host introduced us to the property which blew us away. The photo don't do it justice and we were the first guests in the newly renovated property. Everything was so modern, it felt like I was at my condo in Los Angeles. We literally had to take plastic off of the dishware, unwrap the towels and couldn't have been more impressed by the time Jamal took ensuring we understood everything Amman had to offer. After a great introduction and fantastic conversation, we set down the hill to the main street, which we were literally perched above in the penthouse. Everything looks far, but Amman is a city most comparable to the game shoots and ladders- there are steep staircases spread throughout the city that tkes you to the next "level" if that makes sense. Be prepared to get a great workout in and wear comfortable shoes to explore all that Amman has to offer. The property is literally in the heart of EVERYTHING! Form the infamous Rainbow street and its international cafe/ people watching scene, to the downtown hustle and bustle of downtown Amman, to the museums, citadel, and more. The property itself is very very modern. The bedroom is large spacious and the patio overlooking the city and the views is something out of a movie. You can try as hard as you want, but you wont be able to capture the beauty of the mountains, building stacked on top of building, overlooking the city, in a geography that is unlike anything I've ever experienced while traveling the world. The full moon, over the city is spectacular. The sunrises from the room are magical. The bathroom was modern, and the shower is a bit small, but with very strong water pressure, and modern nozzle which you can adjust which was a great fix. The kitchen has a stove with two burners and no over, which helped save us time in not having to eat out too much because costs can quickly accumulate in a city like Amman. On that note, and to end this review, I have to HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you do a visit to Books@...

The Khirfan Penthouse is a great way to experience Amman. Located in a quiet corner of Rainbow street, it is just a walk away from the lively nightlife of Rainbow street as well as the bustling markets of downtown Amman. Taxis are abundantly available a short distance away on Rainbow street, and the area also hosts some exciting restaurants. The place itself is very clean, cosy, and great for couples. It has all the amenities one expects from a proper apartment, including good Wi-Fi connectivity and air-conditioning. The bedroom has a private balcony with a stunning view of downtown. The bathroom is a tad small but functional, the water pressure is ordinary but this is fairly common in Jordan. The place also has a washer, which is not always available in places at this price point, and proves to be very valuable when one stays for a few days like we did. The Khirfan Penthouse was recently renovated and opened for rental, and we were its first residents. That meant that the place came with a few quirks that needed to be ironed out, such as an electrical breaker that needed replacement and bathroom fixtures that came loose. But Jamal, the wonderful local host, was extremely gracious and responsive to all our needs, and repaired everything very fast. I'm sure the place will not pose any problems for future residents. Finally, we also want to thank Khaled for giving us a discount on the rental, making our stay both comfortable and also affordable. We definitely recommend this place!
