My apartment is in the middle of Manhattan and located next to most subway lines and buses. Hell's Kitchen has every kind of dinning option imaginable. Radio City Music Hall, NBC Rock Center, Central Park, Broadway, Lincoln Center and more is just blocks away.

The space

I am willing to rent out the front room to one person while I am here, which is private and has a full size bed. The shower and toilet are separate, so ideal for sharing. Great light and closet space. No laundry in the building, but a great laundromat down the street where you can do it yourself or drop off (not very expensive to drop off). It is a fifth floor walk up (no elevator) and the front room can be noisy because of the traffic on 9th Avenue. It is a great space for people who want to be centrally located and stay in a clean and safe apartment. This is for one person only and for non-smokers.

Guest access

Guest will share the apartment with me during their stay. They will have access to the private front room with a full size bed and all shared spaces (bathroom, kitchen, hallway). Apartment has WiFi, coffee maker, refrigerator, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and towels. No microwave or cooking materials in apartment.

Interaction with guests

I am available, but often working and not at home. I am available for questions about NYC, etc.

The apartment is well located and clean, and Anthony is a helpful, responsive host. He is well informed about the city and neighborhood, which made my stay a great time.

Apartment was an amazing place. Close to all public attractions as mentioned. Also close to all subway stations and I had an easy time getting to all my local destinations. Would recommend this apartment 10/10 for single travelers. Host was easy to talk to and would reply with in a reasonable time .

Anthony was an exceedingly communicative host. No detail was spared beforehand! Flexible with check-in, helpful in dining suggestions, and an absolutely lovely person to converse with. If I didn't have an event to attend, I'm sure we would have chatted up more of a storm! I left feeling like I had been staying with a friend. The room is exactly as pictured. The apartment is exactly as described. If you are looking for a place to stay with that quintessential NY charm- this is it! The building and unit itself has character. That being said, don't expect luxury because NY luxury means you'd need to dish out NY money! The price is a bargain for a cozy place to crash and for its incredibly convenient proximity to restaurants, transportation, shops, and sightseeing in Manhattan. To the light sleepers- don't ignore in the description that the room faces a busy (and noisy) avenue. It can sound as if you're right outside- but, that's part of the NY charm, and Anthony was kind enough to provide earplugs in the room to help block out the city bustle and the plugs really did the trick. If I have to travel alone to NY again, I won't hesitate to book here again!

I was only in the city for one night and needed somewhere affordable, safe and comfortable to sleep. Anthony's place exceeded all of my requirements and he was a great host. As a female travelling alone, my first concern was safety and I made this reservation based on feedback on Antony's profile. I'm pleased to say that I felt totally safe at night in the neighbourhood and also in the apartment. I walked back alone around 1am and would have no hesitation doing it again. It definitely meets my safety requirements. As for the apartment, it is exactly as it looks in the photos. What was important to me was a comfortable bed, a hot shower and, since it was a hot day, aircon in the room! Again my requirements were met. The apartment was lovely. I barely noticed that Anthony was in the other room and had total privacy. The room faces onto 9th Avenue which is pretty noisy. I must admit I kinda liked that as it was part of the buzz of being in NYC, but also Anthony provided earplugs which drowned out the noise while I slept. Oh, and the apartment is on the 5th floor with no elevator. I managed it in high heels so it wasn't a problem, but maybe worth mentioning in case you're travelling with lots of luggage.... In terms of location, this apartment is close to Central Park and Times Square, and there are a few Subway stops nearby making it really easy to get anywhere in Manhattan. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, including quite a selection of breakfast/brunch places, and several coffee shops! As for Anthony himself, he was super responsive to any queries I had before and during my stay. He was also helpful with my check in/out times meaning I could check in, leave my bags and then hit the town straight away! Overall I thought this apartment was great value for money. It was clean, comfortable and safe with a great host! I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the neighbourhood!!
