No need to take your car to this large five bedroom home as it is located within walking distance to the Stradbroke Island Water Taxi terminal. The house has Moreton Bay views and is only a few minutes from a gorgeous little beach named after the wreck of the Lady Loch. This beach provides swimmers with a safe tidal enclosure to swim in with plenty of shade on the adjacent grassy area with public BBQ facilities. This is a very popular spot with families and dog lovers.

The space

The house has polished timber floor boards throughout with a large lounge room and separate dining area. Whilst we are dog friendly due to a fully fenced yard only small dogs house trained please.

The entire house is available for use by guests.

Other things to note

Point Lookout’s surf beaches are only twenty minutes away and a bus stop to get you to and from is a short walk from the house. Cafes and Shops are close by.

Fantastic family and pet friendly. Lots of space and close to shops. Lovely fresh fluffy towels and comfy beds. Outdoor area served well BBQ . Table tennis for families and secure yard for pets. We will come back again.

This place is a gem for multiple family gatherings. Extremely comfortable, huge, lots of games and space for kids, kitchen was well appointed, really couldn t have asked for more. The location was super convenient, close to shops and the ferry, a code system for the key made check in very easy. Robert was lovely and easy to deal with. Will be back!

We stayed at Bob's as a group of 9 for a festival. The house was fantastic, heaps of room and table tennis table was awesome -also loved the range of board games. Pics didn't do this house justice, all of the rooms were really comfortable and the house looked great. It was a bit far from the festival (although easy enough by bus) but really close to the ferry which was really convenient. Bob was quick to respond and a great host, he also let us leave our bags there longer which was lovely. Would definitely stay at Bobs again, thanks for a great stay!

Robert's place is very spacious indoors and out. It has been beautifully renovated and was the ideal location for our three generation family holiday. Toddlers and pet were safely enclosed in the yard. The small supermarket just 70m away was well stocked with everyday, local and some gourmet items. Robert's kitchen had more appliances than I expected. Everything in Dunwich was within easy reach - including the stroll to the "small-wave" beach (as our 3 year old called it) with lots of treasures.

House was very nice, clean and well equipped. There was all supermarkets etc walking distance. I would definitely recommend this house to everyone who has bigger group.

Beautiful older home with great bones, light, airy and very spacious. We stayed with a group including a toddler and a dog and it never felt crowded. Updates make it very comfortable - glossy wooden floors throughout, new fans and lights, new fittings in kitchen and bathrooms, good linen. The kitchen has heaps of glassware and crockery; we didn't do any major cooking but it seemed well-equipped and there is a big BBQ. The yard is securely fenced and there are nice places to on the front and back terraces to enjoy sun or shade and either catch the breeze or get out of the wind, according to your preference. We really appreciated the convenient location- walking distance from the ferry, butcher and supermarket across the street, bottle shop on the corner and other shops and cafes in the next street. Right in the middle of Dunwich but very quiet, especially at night. You can definitely hear the curlews calling!
