You have access to the entire lower level of the home. There is a seperate entrance through the side gate for the unit - You will be sent an Access Code on the day of arrival.

We live upstairs and are typically around. We're happy to interact or leave you to your vacation/work trip.
Other things to note
It is an older house so some sound is heard between upstairs and downstairs. Creeks in floor and noises similar to that. We have ear plugs available for guests.
