This place was incredible! It was the most relaxing place I have ever been. It was tough because it was so close to town, which was a fun area, but we came home early because we wanted to spend more time in the tree house. I can not think of one thing that I would change, actually, if I could, I would have booked an extra night here.

Richard, went above and beyond to make sure our stay in the treehouse was incredible. My boyfriend proposed to me up in the treehouse (which I had no idea he was planning) and Richard jumped right in to take pictures when asked by my boyfriend in secret after we got there. Everything from the location, views, breakfast coming up on the pully in the morning was absolutely amazing. It is a memory I will never forget and we hope to return on our next trip to Ireland. This has been my favorite place I have ever stayed.

What an amazing place the treehouse is, loved the view, the location, the breakfast delivered by pulley, the bed, did i mention the view. This is a must if visiting Cork and try to stay more than 2 nights unlike us, we would have loved to stay longer. The walk down hill into town is easy but we caught a taxi back up as you may want to do particularly if you have enjoyed a guiness or 2 in one of the fantastic pubs in town. Richard was a great host, couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

The treehouse was beyond incredible. The pictures posted do the place no justice. Sitting up high, watching the lights flicker on in the dark city was beyond imagining. If you are into historic stuff, Richard has some terrific recommendations! One word of warning: the trip to the bathroom can be quite cold at night!

Tranquilitree was the most wonderful Airbnb experience we've had! It was private, had a breathtaking view, a 10 minute walk into town...make sure you are ready for the walk back up St.Patrick's Hill, it's steep but so worth it! The bed is comfortable, the kettle with coffee & teas is so appreciated, and the warm croissants in the morning cannot be beat! Richard's hospitality and crarm csnnot be beat! Thank you Richard for havi

If you get the chance to stay at the treehouse, you MUST do it! Richard's treehouse is amazing. You can see the time and effort put into every last detail of it. It is quaint and Richard and his wife are great hosts. Her fresh baked croissants sent up via pulley system are outstanding and worth the stay alone. The view of the city and proximity is perfect.

Richard User ProfileRichard is a superhost.

My name is Richard. I live in Cork City within a few mins walk from the apartment. I am married to Catherine and we have three children, two boys and a girl. I work in property.
The family love to holiday in Kerry and we enjoy water sports- pier jumping, sailing, surfing and swimming. When we can, we love to snow board and ski in France and Norway but that doesn't happen as often as we would like.
At this point in our lives we're just busy with family things-school runs, homework, rugby and hockey matches etc.
We have just begun Airbnb. We are really excited about it and really want to give it our best shot. We hope you that you like our place and that you will come and stay with us.
