The loft is perfectly located in a convenient, safe & fun area. Many restaurants nearby, a pharmacy within minutes and a 15 minute walk from Old Quebec. The place itself is super modern, meticulously clean and comfortable, exactly as the listing describes. Can't wait to visit again.

Let me start off by saying THIS APARTMENT IS NOT AIRCONDITIONED. Even though on the listing it is included. We arrived and it was a stuffy 32 degrees inside. I quickly emailed Jean Francois at 4.30 to ask about it and received a reply at 10.30pm saying he would look into the aircon instructions and get back to me! Obviously there wasn't any and surprise surprise I didn't get a reply. Just generic emails asking if we were comfortable blah blah. The answer was no - we were stifling in our room - so so not comfortable! The only window had to remain open and the noise from the street below was insane. First night it went on till after 4.00 am then generally till about 2 am most nights. It was so loud it was like a party at the end of your bed all night. A fan that sounded like a 747 taking off was available to blow hot air too.It was the WORST experience in an airbnb establishment we have ever had and we've stayed in a lot. There is nothing "Luxury" about this loft. The entrance to the building and apartment it reminiscent of a public housing block. The photos are inaccurate as the room is smaller and much more crowded with hard uncomfortable furniture. The bed was hard, the chairs were hard - so uncomfortable. We had only 2 towels for the entire 5 nights that were really thin and scratchy. I wouldn't dry my dog with them. The washing machine and dryer are communal and at a cost. The kitchen is very basic. You couldn't cook a meal there and there is only 3 of everything. There was no manual or information sheet to advise you about these details, or where the closest supermarket was or anything. The location was interesting though still very seedy - early mornings saw the homeless and drug addicts on the street. It wasn't unsafe but not ideal. As most of the tourist action is up in the old town a good 15 minutes uphill walk away I think there are definitely better areas to stay that still capture the essence of life in Quebec. I would not recommend staying here if there are any other viable options. This is purely a commercial transaction run by an organisation that seems more interested in the next booking than the comfort and satisfaction of its guests. Very disappointing!

No A/C as advised. Had to wait one hour before room was ready. Except that, everything as described. Good furniture and clean.

Jean François' place was well located, within walking distance to the old port and the old city. He was very easy to communicate with and the place was clean and secure.

Great place! Clean and a fantastic location in downtown. A bit of a hike to old quebec but the place is modern and has everything you need!! 5/5 In order to access the apartment there is 1 flight of stairs which can be a pain with luggage!

Place was nice, very central however it says there is AC but there wasn't any, gets very warm during the month of July. Also bed is not very comfortable. Either than that, it was okay; very close to everything so overall 7/10.

Lived in Quebec all my life, very young I was merged to the family business to become a tour guide. I always loved the tourism sector, meeting people and discovering new cultures through the eyes of my guests. Today I have a chance to above and beyond, to give an experience like never before, to let them experience my city through the eyes of a local. Very excited!
