If you want to immerse into an unforgettable Peruvian atmosphere, Casa Bella Flor could be your right choice! It's not a home as we know, it looks more a B&B, but Hilde and her husband Natalio assure you can feel being part of their family. They are really kind and available. A key word is above their place: passion, they pass on the passion to live a unique experience.
First of all, it's a wonderful and peaceful place to stay. When you walk in, there is no noise. A floral and nice yard welcome you, around there are some rooms which are characteristic and comfortable. Furnishings are really essential, as well as the private bathroom. There is no heat, so it could be cold before you go to sleep. However, many blankets are provided. Water is luckily very hot. Wifi connection is good.
Second, for a 25 soles dinner and a 10 soles breakfast you can enjoy delicious food made with love. All ingredients are ecologic, some of them are homemade. Bread is serviced in a characteristic terracotta pot, warmed up by the fire. Aside of a fireplace, a dinner can be a quinoa and sheep cheese soup or a vegetable one as starters, alpaca fillet or baked trout with Peruvian sauce as main course, inca roasted potatoes and more vegetables can be side plates. Mate, anis infusion, tea as hot beverages. Breakfast, instead, could be quinoa pancakes, jam, butter, homemade eucalyptus honey, smooth juice, quinoa grains to put into yogurt. So excellent!
Finally, Casa Bella Flor does not stop to surprise. It has a own small private thermal pool along the Colca river! It takes for a little drive and a 10-15 minutes walk, but it's definitely worth. I had a pool of warm water with eucalyptus leaves all for me!Around canyon walls, silence, just the river noise. Unforgettable! It's also possible to camp and make a fireplace, just agree with Natalio.
I do recommend it for backpackers, single travelers, couples, quiet and adaptable people. For whoever would like to off from everything. Enjoy!
