Get away, truly away, in one of the most soulful places in South Africa. The Cottage in the Kloof is nestled in pristine, serene surrounds in Robertson’s Nuy Valley… the sounds of nature and beautiful 360° views can be appreciated from your very own stone cottage just kilometres from a quaint craft brewery and restaurant, and wine farm.

The space

Relax in our stunning, spacious and character-filled stone cottage in the midst of the Nuy Valley wilderness. Open the natural wooden doors, sit on your private wooden deck with a cup of coffee and relax with beautiful Kloof views that stretch for miles while listening to the sounds of busy birds flitting from tree to tree. Nestled deep in the Nuy Valley between Robertson and Worcester, only an hour and a half from Cape Town, lies the soulful Cottage in the Kloof. This heritage building sleeps four comfortably with all the modern comforts such as solar power, private braai and hot water with the rustic splendour of a striking kloof backdrop to complete your memorable retreat.

Outstanding retreat! This rustic cottage is ideal for couples (or young families) who enjoy being outside and appreciating nature. The best parts for us included: exploring the hills, braaiing at sunset, the hot tub under the stars, and all the little critters that come with staying in a secluded cottage in the mountains.

This was such a treat and it was worth every penny. Jackie was extremely gracious and helpful. Go here to switch off from the buzz of the city, also try there beer tasting and the take in the beautiful surrounds.

Fresh air and open sky with amazing stars at night. You will need a high clearance vehicle to get there as the road is a bit rough. The hot tub is awesome but the shower presents more of a challenge to get comfortable in (typical of a gas geyser). All in all a really great place for a rustic getaway.

Response from Jackie:
HI Minette, so glad you had a good weekend. It was a a crazy stormy weekend with extremely strong gusts coming through - we even lost 3 umbrellas at the restaurant which snapped in half (that is how strong the wind was) so it isn't usually that gusty! Look forward to having you back! Regards Jackie

I am a friendly, energetic person who loves meeting new people. My husband, Adrian, and I run Saggy Stone Brewery and our family fruit farm in the Robertson valley. We love the outdoors and the solitude of Namibia when on holiday
