Firstly, the location of the apartment is great. Around 5 minutes walk to Bangla Street. Around 15 minutes walk to Patong Beach. 5 minutes walk to Jungceylon, where there is a supermarket to buy snacks and drinks. Yet, it is very peaceful at night.
Secondly, with regards to the amenities, most household appliances such as microwave, stove, refrigerator, cooking utensils, are available, therefore, light cooking is not a problem. One thing to note for those using Airbnb for the first time is to bring your own toiletries like shampoo, toothbrush, body wash, and toothpaste.
Thirdly, the price is very affordable, even with the electric bill. For 5 guys, staying in for 5 days, blasting the air-conditioning every night, we paid 200 baht in total for the electricity.
Fourthly, although I noticed 2 baby cockroaches at night around the cupboards containing the cooking utensils on the first day, the apartment is evidently well kept, such that I would not want to put the blame on the host at all.
Fifthly, the staff that met us was on the dot for our check-out even though we were terribly late for our check-in and made the staff wait for us late into the night. She even helped us to direct our driver to the apartment because our driver was not familiar with the destination.
Lastly, the gym has quite a few machines and was kept very clean. Although the pool was a bit small, about the width of 3 lanes.
If you really wanted to name some flaws, then I would say that since there is only 1 queen-sized bed, if there are a more than 2 guests living together, some of them would have to use the sofa bed, which was pretty uncomfortable to sleep in.
Furthermore, there wasn't any instructions for the electric safe in the room. We called them and was told that a guy would come down to help us fix it. However, no one came in the end.
All in all, I would say that being a first time Airbnb user, I was very satisfied with the experience for the price that I paid. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends!
