We've been BUSY fully renovating this gem and we're ready to host your getaway!
This is a quintessential Ozarks creek-side vacation rental with private location 10-15 minutes from shopping, medical, restaurants, Caverns, National Forest trails, Folk Center State Park and town square.
Our creek cabins are so popular, we've added to them. They are enjoyable year round, as is the creek. You'll have a charcoal grill and a bonfire pit stocked with wood.
Main living area contains following: Kitchen, access to front porch, full size bed, living area and new queen sleeper sofa.
Bedroom has Queen bed and one large twin.
Bathroom and Laundry Room is accessed through the bedroom.
Creek is spring fed and very healthy. There are shallows and pools deep enough to plunge. Trout run it approximately December through June. Smallmouth fishing is best in summer, but whoppers can be caught year round. Just heard first hand of 6lb11oz caught out front a few years back! Driving to creek not allowed. Walk across lot with gear to access creek. Creek shoes and chairs recommended. To respect the peace and quiet of the area, vacate creek by 7pm.
Guests will have access to the entire house and private lot. Guests can access the creek via our neighbor's, while maintaining good stewardship - of course.
Interaction with guests
From our own personal experience and from the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce, this is the quote that drives our business:
"The first time, you visit. The second time, you move here."
— says everyone who visits Mountain View
Hospitality comes naturally to all of us and we've turned it into our profession. We are oozing with pride for the talent and natural beauty our area offers. And the water: "oh oh the water, get it myself from the mountain stream."
We thrive helping you truly connect to our area. Upon booking confirmation you will receive a penned-by-us "Locals' Guide." We offer a full range of concierge services from wedding planning to stocking your fridge with local ready-to-eat meals, junk food and award winning crafted suds. We have close connections with the best local guides for overnight canoe trips, spelunking, hunting and even horseback riding for those with disabilities. It might be one of us.
Other things to note
This cabin is located a couple of miles down gravel. The last portion of the drive is a somewhat steep gravel road. 4 wheel drive not required but front wheel drive is. A regular sedan can make it a-ok. Be prepared to stay awhile if it snows. Dual Sport motorcycles recommended if 2 wheeling it.
There is no cell signal in this valley. Plenty of ways to connect your smartphone via wifi these days.
If you bring a dog, there is a fee ($45/60/75 - max 3 dogs. Cats not allowed due to common allergies) so that housekeeping can do a very thorough clean-up for those not pet friendly. STATE YOUR PET GUEST INTENTIONS WHEN BOOKING. You are expected to master the pet during it's vacation. Pick up after it, don't allow it to chase and bark at people or wildlife, etc
There is no satellite. Streaming only (ROKU- netflix, youtube, amazon etc) or bring your own gizmo

Emily Conley — An outdoors enthusiast and small town girl at heart, Emily Conley was first introduced to Mountain View when she signed up to run the Sylamore 25k trail race in 2009 with a group of friends. She came back every year for the event and eventually purchased a small cabin in 2014, which we now call Studio at the Creek. She and her three kids have made many wonderful memories in Mountain View and come from their home in Memphis as often as possible to fish, hike, swim, and enjoy the simplicity and beauty of the area.
