Christine's bungalow is the perfect spot for an inexpensive, quick weekend away from the city. It's a small, cozy cabin right in between the north and south forks for easy acess to many different kinds of activities. (We very much enjoyed the wineries of the North Fork!) The kitchen had plenty of utensils for cooking, and our host was nice enough to leave us coffee pods as well. Christine was very nice and responsive before and during our stay. In fact when hurricane Jose was forecasted to go through LI, Christine let me know she was keeping an eye on the place for us to make sure everyhing would be ok. Thankfully, we had gorgeous weather in which to enjoy our morning coffee on Christine's beautiful, serene waterside dock. The only "downside" was the cell service was low and in order to access the wifi, you have to walk outside and go closer to the main house. But, this is not the place to squander your time indoors on Netflix or your email - we were perfectly happy to spend more time outside, away from our phones!
This is a wonderful place for a couple looking to get away. Coffee on the dock, burgers by the pool, and plenty of space for an adventurous pet - you can't ask for more. The cottage was quaint and cozy, but you'll spend most of your time outside in the fresh air. If you're looking for a quiet place to relax, this is it. Christine is a wonderful host, warm and communicative, and she'll make you feel like you're home.
We needed a place for a quick, romantic and relaxing getaway and we found it here. Hampton Bays has all of the beauty of The Hamptons without all the traffic. We also felt it was a good value for the long Independence Day weekend. This is the middle cottage of the three rentals shown in the photo. It is very clean and cozy and has a little deck where you can partially see the bay and sunset over the water. For a dazzling sunset view, walk a few steps to the dock and sit on the bench. You will not be disappointed. We did not have time to use the common pool but it was very clean and had lounges and a nice deck. There were also kayaks and a canoe for the guests to enjoy. Our cottage neighbors on each side were friendly and quiet. Christine is a kind, generous, and easy-going host who lives on property. She communicated promptly and was responsive to our needs.
