My place is close to restaurants and dining, nightlife, and family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the location, the relaxing patio, comfortable interior, and the ambiance. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, a group of friends, and families.
This little cottage is located only a few blocks north of Main Street. Your hostess bought the cottage to use while participating in the local art school. A few pieces of her art are displayed throughout the home. The cottage is perfect for a couple, a girls retreat or up to four adults. You can make it a weekend, or a month to explore the famous Texas Hill Country.
Before entering the house take time to enjoy the front porch with benches for two. The living room is beautifully decorated with comfy chairs and a love seat. A table with seating for four is found in the kitchen situated in front of a window to enjoy the outdoors. An antique decorative stove has been beautifully renovated. The kitchen offers a microwave, coffeemaker and large refrigerator for your convenience.
Two bedrooms in the home each have a private bath. The master bedroom has a king white iron bed—and the bath has a large whirlpool tub accented by glass bricks to create a bright open feel to the bathroom. A second bedroom offers a queen bed—and the bath has a shower—there is an outside entrance from this bedroom.
Home to yourself.

I'm the small local business owner of Gästehaus Schmidt Lodging and was raised here in Fredericksburg, TX. I moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas where I resided for 18 years. My beautiful family along with this wonderful small town was my reason for returning to Fredericksburg. I hope you stay with us and enjoy our charming little town as much as I do.
