A spacious modern apartment in the heart of the Peak District surrounded by beautiful countryside. Great for families and for groups of friends that might want a walking holiday. Two of the bedrooms can be made up as twin beds or superkingsize. The third bedroom has a double bed. There is also a cot and high chair in the apartment. Stoney Middleton has a friendly pub, village chip shop and a curry cottage with a cave! Chatsworth, Bakewell, Eyam are all nearby.

The space

The single/superking size beds are 6ft 3 inches long and very comfy. Bedrooms 1 and 3 have zip and link beds which means they can be singles or superkingsize. Bedroom 2 is a standard size double.

There's 4 steps down into the outside terrace and then the rest of the apartment is all on one floor. Although the style of the apartment is modern, its in a Victorian building dating from about 1850.

Interaction with guests

I will try my best to meet you when you arrive at the apartment and hand over keys. I will also show you around the apartment and check that you have all you need. For very late arrivals there is a key safe.

Beautiful place to stay & a perfect base to do some walking in the peak district. The apartment had everything we needed & more! We also had a lovely meal in the Moon Inn which was very welcome after all that fresh air & exercise! Would definitely stay here again.

The property is lovely and has everything you need. The beds are really comfy too. We had a perfect stay. The village is great too with a pub that serves good food and beer and a chippy and Indian. Thanks!

A very comfortable, well equipped house in a perfect location for walking the beautiful surrounding countryside and right near a useful bus route so very easily accessible.

We stayed at Kate's as we were looking for a quiet space for me and my business partners to undertake a review of our work during the summer festival and concert season. Kate was there when we arrived and gave us a lovely warm reception and loads of local pointers and tips. The accommodation was stunning, large, roomy and with everything you could possibly want. We managed plenty of walking and lots of evening meals in the very local pub. We took our pair of pugs who were equally impressed (especially with their welcome gift). Will be booking again but for a holiday next time!

Kate User ProfileKate is a superhost.

I'm originally from Newcastle but have lived in Bath, London and now Sheffield which is right on the edge of the Peak District. I enjoy walking and there are some great walks around Stoney Middleton and nearby. I like being creative and doing crafts such as knitting. Look out for the knitted hanging baskets in winter/spring. My favourite book is The Eustace Diamonds by Anthony Trollope.
I enjoy meeting the people that come to stay and I hope they feel comfortable and at home.
