Come and experience a real, unique weekend getaway, city stopover or a holiday stay on a working farm!
This unique BnB is a converted cowshed where you can enjoy your cup of tea while watching the cows walk pass or admire the Tararua ranges that can be seen from the kitchen window. Te Horo is an hour away from Wellington, & 10 mins from the nearest train station. This is the perfect place for a real country getaway without having to do a lot of travel.

Toast, bacon, & free-range eggs provided.

The space
Right in the heart of a working farm this space lets you truly soak up the country life. The Bnb is an open plan, kitchen, lounge and dining room, with a large entryway. The large bedroom has enough room for a family or group of 4. This space also comes with a bathroom with a separate toilet.

Guest access
Guest have full access to all amenities in the cowshed. Help yourself to the DVDs, board games and other nicknacks in the accommodation. If you are after the true farming experience you can get up close and help milk the cows (seasonal July through to May) for $50 per person, I'll do my best to outfit you in overalls and gumboots. From approx 8.30am you'll help milk cows and, hose down, an hour-long experience.

Other things to note
Our dairy farm driveway is busy at times, please be aware of other vehicles that may include motorbikes, tractors, trucks, cows and other cars.

The Tararua ranges are a stone throw away, great for tramping and taking in the beautiful scenery New Zealand has to offer. Take a quick stop at Hyde Park to get your coffee fix before heading down to the beach, which is just a 5-minute drive away. If shopping is your thing, there are outlet shops in Otaki, as well as cafes and souvenir stores, a 7-minute drive away.
