Top floor and offers a lot of light and Mexican charm.
The apartment has 2 floors & 2 bedrooms.
This is the listing for the bedroom downstairs which shares the space with the living room, kitchen and full bathroom.
The apt is located two blocks away from the CTA (you will hear the train with the windows open), walk to Lagunitas Brewery, Douglas Park, National Museum of Mexican, 18st and all of its delights.
My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
The bottom floor with the exception of the bedroom listed, is shared. It has an open living space, full bathroom and a fire escape. The bedroom has high ceilings and a lot of light and air conditioner!
The apartment is quiet, spacious, clean and bright.
IF YOU BOOK FOR FRIDAY: (PLEASE ADVICE)
We have a cleaning lady that comes in, typically at 4pm and doesn't leave until 6pm. Let us know in advance what your ETA will be so I can at least provide clean sheets and towels before you arrive. However, we ask that if you arrive before this time, and or if you find her cleaning, to place your things in your room and not on the rug (so she can vacuum) and out of the way and give her space to finish cleaning. We ideally would ask that you come back after 6pm if you chose to check in earlier. We are sorry for this inconvenience but in order to provide the clean and homie environment, we must clean and Fridays are the day we do it.
You may use the kitchen to cook and store food as long as you clean up after yourself and put everything back where you found it. You may use the Keurig, we have an adapter for lose coffee which you will find in the pantry. You may help yourself to coffee, water, milk, tea or any fruit, if any.
Upstairs is private and off limits.
Interaction with guests
We will interact as much as you want us too. We typically are super busy. You most likely not see Pam. But we're accessible and available thru text or phone at any time for any assistance within our reasonable reach. We both enjoy meeting new people and interacting as we are social butterflies. But we also want to give you your space and make you feel accommodated and comfortable. So it's up to you!
Other things to note
The entrance of the building is NOT a reflection of our home. We are aware that it is unpleasant, a little dirty and sometimes it comes with a mix of smells but do not worry. Our place is clean, comfy and cozy. That is mainly the reason why we do not allow shoes in the home, to prevent the hallway bunnies from coming in!
On that note, please be mindful on putting your shoes on the shoe rack not all over the place or anywhere else by the front door or inside the apartment. Help us stay cool with our neighbor! Don't worry, my neighbors are friendly.
You may notice that we are still decorating! Its a work in progress but the apartment is always clean and ready for your arrival.
We provide toiletries and towels; one per person then an additional $3 per towel after.
If you are cold, or need extra blanket, or anything at all, please text us. We can provide those things for you or let you know where you can find them. Thank you for not taking it upon yourselves to rearrange the furniture, or move decorative things around. We would deeply appreciate that.
