We actively live in our home and invite you to do so as well. Our home is a traditional 2-story home. This bedroom with a queen bed is on the second floor, fourteen steps up. Many of our rooms have color. This bedroom is blue and sleeps two people. Another bedroom is pink and has two twin beds. It can be reserved on another listing. The colors are tactful and tastefully done. Use the house and make it yours. The neighborhood is very well taken care. This is beautiful place to stay.
Our home is close to nightlife, restaurants and dining. You’ll love it because of the comfy beds, the kitchen, and the coziness. Our home is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). There is easy access to highways that will take you anywhere in the Houston area. We are very near Deerbrook Mall and all of the shopping you desire. Lake Houston is only a few minutes away. Head a couple of hours north to Texas' hill country or south to Galveston and the beaches.
You will have access to all rooms in the house except for the two master bedrooms that we stay in. Our home is about 2800 square feet. You will enjoy the large front living room and the the back family room. The kitchen is very spacious with an eating area. For larger settings, use the formal dining room. There is a patio in the private, fenced backyard with a grill. Off of that is a deck with a canopy and patio table and chairs. It is a fantastic space to enjoy an evening meal in the shade. The cardinals, squirrels and little lizards are fun and often visit as you relax and watch your own nature show. There is plenty of parking in the driveway and on street parking is allowed.
Interaction with guests
We are available to help you with any questions you might have. We are a working family so you will have plenty of private time available. One person is usually home during the day but can easily make sure you have space and privacy.
Other things to note
The weather is moderate to hot. Winters are pleasant with an average high of 63 in January and an average summer high above 90 in June through September. It can get muggy in the summer with high humidity. You will want to plan for indoor activities during the summer. Outdoor activities and community events and festivals take place in spring in March and April and again in fall in late September and October. We are about three hours from San Antonio, Dallas, Austin and other destinations if you would like to take day trips. New Orleans is five hours away. Minute Maid stadium to catch an Astros game is 30 minutes down the road and easy to access. NRG stadium is 45 minutes away. Rodeo takes place there in March. It is the largest rodeo in the country, lasting 19 days, with daily rodeo events, nightly concerts with big name headliners, and plenty of rides and games. It is bigger than most state fairs and attracts over 2 million people. If you like BBQ or Mexican food you've come to the right town.
