A beautifully rebuilt craftsmen home. You'll have the entire second floor to yourself with a huge beautiful master bedroom with a beautiful bathroom including a whirlpool. One of the other two bedrooms has a lovely walkout porch, There is also a nice kitchenette.
You're invited to use the first floor where the kitchen and washer dryer are set up with a nice spacious livingroom to relax in. My friend Ellen rents the bedroom on the floor so you may interact with her while using amenities there.

The space

The location is ideal. On Sundays you're literally across the street from Kings Farmers Market with Live music playing. Just steps from Alberta Street, and blocks from Vancouver Williams and Mississippi street the venues for eating, drinking dancing and live music abound. Not to mention that the Lighting in this space once you return home is very uplifting and in the evening you can enjoy sipping wine on the second story porch or just take a nice whirlpool.

Guest access

Again the second story is all yours with about a thousand square feet of personal space with two and a half bathrooms. The first floor livingroom dining room and kitchen are all available for you to use as well, it will be shared with Ellen who lives in the bedroom on the first floor.

This was a great place to come home and crash. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the balcony was lovely. The neighborhood is very cute and there is an amazing farmers market on Sundays right across the street! There was work being done on the house and there were ants around multiple traps in the bathroom, but everything else was nice and clean. One of the rooms has a great book shelf and we had easy communication with the host.

We enjoyed our stay. The king size bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable (was the only one we used, so not sure about the others). We were a little worried that it would get too hot (temps of 107 while we were there!) but the temperature on the second floor stayed comfortable during the night with the help of an attic fan. The small kitchenette area had a microwave, mini fridge/freezer, silverware, plates, cups, a small table with a couple chairs, a filtered water pitcher, and an electric kettle. That was enough for us as we ate out while we were there, so we didn't use the kitchen downstairs. Furnishings are basic (beds and nightstands, not much else). We were within walking distance of some restaurants and shops, and downtown was a short 10-15 minute drive. There were some ants while we were there (mostly in the bathrooms around the faucets), probably made worse by the hot weather, but all in all it's a great place to stay for the price. There were only two of us, but larger groups would definitely enjoy the ample space!

Had a great birthday weekend Portland getaway! Great old house and nice neighborhood. Very spacious, comfortable beds, awesome shower and jacuzzi. A great price for accommodating 2-6 people.

Hi, I love to travel, of course and explore culture and nature in a way where I am actually interacting with the new life that's there. I don't pick sides, and always have an preference. Get out and live!
