The farmhouse is on a 70 acre farm with plenty of wide open spaces. A National Park adjoins the property and kangaroos often visit. International visitors are very welcome. The farm is only a short 10 minute drive from Benalla which has many places of interest. The town is famous for its Rose Festival and gardens, Street Art and there are some fabulous wineries to visit. We have cows, beautiful rare chickens, a small dog and cat. There is plenty of space for cars and trailers. .

Deb and Lou are fantastic hosts and they provide a wonderfully welcoming and thoughtful experience to their guests. We stayed for two nights with them and quickly formed a warm connection with them both. Their farm is a delight and their brood of unusual chickens, a rare and surprising bonus. We would definitely stay with them again if the opportunity presented itself.

This is a great place, much more than expected, the house is beautiful and has everything shown in the photos, it is a very clean house, with all the necessary elements. The hosts are wonderful people so much to continue a friendship, very friendly and helpful, you can find fresh eggs every morning, see kangaroos, birds, ducks and of course the best hens and roosters in Australia, totally recommended for anyone who wants to spend a magnificent weekend Week with wonderful people and a cozy place!!!

Even though Deb was laid up in hospital with a broken Foot Lou made us feel right at home and welcomed us in showed around the place and we got to see his prize chooks and meet the lovely cat 45 and the beautiful dog Polly he had the fire going for us when we arrived as it was a tad cold. Lou cooked us lovely poached eggs on toast from his free range chickens for breakfast in the morning and gave us a dozen eggs to take with us on our trip. Top place awesome hospitality would thoroughly recommend staying with Lou and Deb. They have a beautiful home and farm thank you for looking after us so well Lou. Response from Deb:
Hi Kerri and Ken, Lou says "Thank you both for such wonderful company and we really appreciate your comments. If you are down this way again please call in for a cuppa and say hi (more eggs too!) and Polly and 45 say hello to you too." Hi Kerri, sorry I missed meeting you both. I am out of hospital now and am learning the meaning of patience. Three months is a long time but it will go fast I am sure. Thank you for staying with us and I hope we get up your way one day.

A great place to stop over for the Snow as we were on our way to Melbourne to visit families. It is conveniently located near the Hume Free way and the place is clean with enough heating for the winter cold. The owner live next door and they were kindly to show us their breed chickens and farm too. The accommodation is owned by a very nice and friendly couple and you will love your overnight staying there.
