Pillar Rock Camp is a new camping trailer with all amenities and parked overlooking a spectacular view of the Columbia River. We provide a private beach access where you can spend time, have a beach camp fire, and enjoy viewing the natural wildlife and great ships "up close and personal".
There is a communal fire pit on the front lawn, again with spectacular views as well as a private fire . A walking road up the mountain (behind the property), provides deep woods and a seasonal waterfall. The views are incredible. We are 30 minutes from a town for groceries.
The "camp" is near the main house and guests will have access to the main house for showering (6am-10pm). WIFI is available on the main house deck. Guests also have access to the communal fire pit on the main lawn, beach access, and opportunity to climb the forested mountain behind the main property. The paved road is lightly traveled and wonderful for walks.
Interaction with guests
We love chatting with our guests and learning about them, but do believe that some are very private and we will leave them alone.
Other things to note
We always appreciate donations of firewood, as our dry wood supply is limited. Be sure to bring groceries with you. We do provide breakfast items (eggs, milk, juice, butter, pancake mix and syrup).
If you bring a dog (small to medium sized please..(no large breeds)please provide a dog bed or bedding. We do not allow pets on the bed or couch. There is a $15 pet fee

I am from Western Washington State. I am an active artist and retired from the U.S. Postal Service where I was a manager in the marketing department. I now enjoy creating works of art, of which a small selection are hanging in this guest house and are for sale with a larger display at the Tsuga Gallery in Cathlamet, Washington. I also enjoy reading, gardening, baking, preserving and fishing or beach combing on our private beach. We have salmon, steel head and sturgeon here as well as seals, eagles, and nearly tame deer. I also love to visit the ocean, which is a short drive away. My gemologist, craftsman husband and I look forward to serving our guests with true Northwest hospitality!
I have traveled through Northern Europe and parts of Asia and look forward to offering the best of the hospitality shown to me in my travels. Look forward to freshly baked breads and rolls with your breakfast basket as well as homemade preserves, as I am an award winning baker. I also will provide catered lunches and dinners on request.
