This cosy apartment isn't too big, but it's a part of the historic neighborhood of Sta. Catarina, Lisbon, only 2 minutes away from the most breathtaking viewpoint over the Tagus and beyond - Adamastor. The perfect Lisbon experience.
You will know what it's like to be in a typical part of historic Lisbon. Santa Catarina is only a few walking minutes away from the famous Chiado, Bairro Alto and Cais do Sodre areas, but it is also quite peaceful and quiet at night. This cozy one bedroom apartment is located in an old Lisbon building where no cars pass by. You'll hear the people, church bells and the tram when it passes the streets below, perhaps a neighbor playing or singing music, but you'll be far from all the downtown chaos that is 5 minutes away. At night it is very quiet, so you'll be able to get some peaceful rest, even while the city is full of nightlife.
The apartment is on the first floor, and if you're tall, you might want to mind your step while walking up the stairs because the ceiling isn't very high around the corner stairway.
The apartment is small, but very cozy and welcoming.
You can use the kitchenette and feel free to make your own meals. There is a little cafe down the street that is open from 7:30am-11:30pm that sells fresh bread, eggs, vegetables, and all the basic stuff that you might need to cook, so if it's not available in the apartment, all you have to do is run across the street. Please don't leave the apartment with any hard smells from cooking or I may have to ask for some of the deposit for to ensure heavy duty cleaning.
Interaction with guests
I'll meet up with guests at the apartment and get you acquainted with the apartment and surrounding area.
Usually on the last day I allow guests to stay as long as they like if I don't have anyone checking in on the same day. For check out, it's best to keep in touch via messaging so that I know what time you're planning on departing.
Other things to note:If you're considering checking in after 10pm please take into account that an extra fee of 20€ is applied, there are no check-in's after midnight.
Other things to note
Since 2015 Portugal has more strictly enforced a longstanding law requiring anyone providing paid holiday accommodation to record the entry, exit, and identification details of all nonPortuguese nationals who use that accommodation.
For this reason it will be necessary to show your I.D. and fill out an accomadation Bulletin on arrival.
The governing body that monitors the movement of foreigners is SEF (Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras or the Immigration and Borders Service).

I am the mother of 2 children and I love to travel, basically because I lived most of my childhood abroad. I honestly appreciate the oppportunity to meet new people and listen to their stories.
Due to my childhood I am bi-lingual, so I speak english and portuguese as a native. So, after working for big corporations,I decided to invest in a project that would bring me a better work - life balance so I can appreciate more time with my children and husband.
