Benedicte's one bedroom apartment is in a very safe, and relatively upscale, Parisian neighborhood. The building is well kept, with nice courtyards, elevators/lifts, and 2 secure entrances.
The 3rd floor apartment is very clean, bright, airy, modern, nicely furnished, and bigger than the usual 1 bedroom Parisian flat. The kitchen is well equipped, the living room is big, has a very comfortable sofa bed for 2 adults, and a very big sliding door/window towards a balcony above the inner courtyard. The bed room has a queen size bed and plenty of space in the walk in closet. The toilet is separate from the cozy bathroom. There is a sophisticated dream machine in the bedroom and mood lighting in the bathroom, both a plus, although we didn't use them.
There are 2 Wi-Fi networks available, and they both work very well.
Good grocery shops, bakeries and charming restaurants, and bars, are just 'around the corner' and on top of it all Rue Cler, where you'll find even more of the above, is only 5 minutes away. Marché Ave du Président Wilson is a good farmers market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
You can walk to many of the major sites, Tour Eiffel is 5-7 minutes away, Hotel des Invalides 8-10 minutes, the Seine 2 minutes, etc. We strolled to the Louvre, Opera Garnier, Tuilleries, Champs Elysees, Notre Dame and more. These require longer walks but they are doable even for one 66 years old overweight :) With easy to reach public transportation, all the major tourist sites are 30-45 minutes away.
Benedicte has a list of very useful local info about restaurants, shops, local transport, as well as an impressive library of quality books and CDs of good music. She communicates timely, in very good English, and tries hard to make sure that you have the best time possible.
We really hope to be able to rent this apartment again, on our next visit to Paris.
