My boyfriend and I spent the labour day weekend in Toronto, and only a few days before our stay, our previous Airbnb reservation was cancelled on us. Thankfully we saw Adam's listing and he was able to accommodate us despite the last minute request. As such, we did have a very minor issue checking in, as the front desk hadn't recorded my name in the proper place in order to receive the keys. I contacted Adam and he called to authorize everything again very promptly.
Adam was unable to meet us upon arrival, as he was away for the weekend, but communication was exemplary throughout. Adam provided all the necessary check-in and out details, wifi code, and instructions for accessing the building and amenities ahead of time, and checked in periodically to make sure everything was okay throughout our stay.
The unit had all the basic essentials you would need to make use of the kitchen, and the washroom was well stocked (nothing is worse than checking into and Airbnb only to find out they didn't leave you any toilet paper).
Accessing the building amenities was a breeze, and we made use of the pool and hot tub (and separate saunas in the men's and women's change areas). We also had every intention of using the gym..but we all know how that goes.. (it did look nice however).
We had full use of the unit during our stay, however, there is a den that is off limits (we had the unit to ourselves, but I'm not sure if someone else stays there and shares the space while you rent the unit usually otherwise, so I would check with the host about that). There is a queen size bed in the bedroom, and a comfy sectional in the living-room area.
The building itself is really conveniently located, and was a quick 15 minute walk to some great spots on King St. W, and a short (and cheap) Uber everywhere we wanted to go ($13-$15 to the Eaton Centre, The Drake Hotel etc.) and a 10-minute walk to Porter (likely would have been 5ish minutes without all our excessive luggage).
We came in through Pearson Intl. and took the UP Express to Union Station for $12 each, hopped on the Porter Shuttle right across the street from Union Station (free to anyone going to Billy Bishop Airport, regardless of whether or not you are traveling), and then walked to the building from Porter (everything was super speedy and missed all the rush-hour traffic/congestion).
All in all we had a great stay -- thanks for hosting us, Adam, and we look forward to staying again in the future!
