Comfy bed, hard wood floors, downstairs in a historical Victorian home & property in the heart of Livermore. Built in 1880, close to wineries, downtown, and LLNL this room is perfect for a getaway or a home away from home on business.

The space

The home was built in 1880 and is the second oldest home still standing in the original location in Livermore. The original family was Henry and Sarah Callaghan from Ireland. The bed has brand new sheets and comforter. The floors were recently refinished back to the original hard wood floors. The dresser has lots of space for your belongings and the desk is built in.

Guest access

In addition to the room, you have full use of the gardens and the lovely front porch for relaxing, sipping wine, or dancing to music (as we often do). There is also a hammock in the garden if you'd prefer to nap under the olive tree. There is a shared bathroom with an original clawfoot tub for soaking. Upon arrival you will be given a clicker to get in and out of the gated property.

Interaction with guests

We love hosting, so we are happy to be as involved as you'd like us to be. Anything from sitting on the porch sharing stories of the home while sharing a bottle of wine to just pointing you in the direction of our favorite restaurants, wineries, and wine bars.

Other things to note

Wifi is available upon request as well as a smart TV (with access to your netflix, hulu, etc.) if you'd like to have one in the room for your stay. This is our home, where we live out our everyday lives. We do our very best to be respectful of your experience here with us, so just let us know if you need something specific. We have five additional rooms in this home offered - 4 with queen beds and one with a full. Booking with children is welcomed and booking multiple rooms at the same time is available.

Beautiful home in Livermore. Small town where everything is fairly close. Great place to stay!

The house is quiet historic in itself (that being said the place is equipped with all basic necessities) and quiet big. The place is really good for bachelors as there are many other guests living in the house. But for the price its really comfortable and comfortable to spend few nights.

This is a beautiful Victorian home that's filled with friendly people. The hosts are great and will help with anything you need. It's great for interns or people visiting the area for fun. As a business traveler, it gave me a couple issues. There was no closet in my room (it was accurately listed as an office, so this is not the host's fault), so I couldn't hang my work clothes. The bathroom is shared among about 5-6 people, so there's no storage for shower supplies and there's potential for scheduling conflicts (I'm up at 5:00am, so I didn't have any problems). I would highly recommend the house for anyone who enjoys the hostel/dorm feeling and would like to socialize and enjoy a beautiful old house with a lot of character.
