Abbey and I, with our 2 adult children Jane and Eugene, have lived in The City of Sails for 14 years. In 2002 we traveled from Auckland in a camper-van that first took us to many parts of the North Island and followed by an extensive coverage of the stunningly beautiful South Island. In 4 weeks we traveled more than 6000 km and went off the beaten track to such mystical spots as the 180 million-yo Petrified Forest (where a solitary rarest yellow-eyed penguin was spotted amidst the poignant kelp-laden beach) but the most surreal of it all was experienced impromptu at a strategic promontory overlooking the Tautuku Bay where we found ourselves inundated in thick moving oceanic fog formed out of the cold Antarctic air and the warm Pacific moisture that incessantly scurrying inland, reminiscent of the Sci-Fi specter. Such scenes epitomize the Land of the Long White Cloud as "the first place to see the Sun, the last place on Earth", and contribute the locales for such epic movies as the Lord of the Ring, Hobbits etc.
I began my professional career in the U.K where I lived for about 9 years . That was followed by many years of working in Kuala Lumpur and thereafter, for about 10 years, as an expat in China representing Asian and US MNCs.
As a frequent traveler, I share and embrace the aspiration and expectation of any fellow travelers. As hosts, we welcome our friends to Auckland, the gateway to NZ and justifiably one of the most livable cities in the world.
I am also fluent in the Bahasa, 普通话,粤语,闽南语。
