Adelaide's quiet, leafy, Eastern area. This beautiful sandstone home is the perfect place to base your Adelaide stay. It always delights guests looking for a quiet retreat after a day of exploring.
Only minutes from the city centre, it is also close to the Adelaide Hills with wineries, Cleland Wildlife park - kangaroos and koalas, and beautiful towns to visit. It's the perfect place to base your cycling holiday, only two minutes from the beginning of the very popular hills cycling routes.
This is a comfortable, renovated, light and airy home. The garden is lovely to sit in with a cup of coffee and watch the birds at breakfast or to relax with a glass of wine on a warm evening. Tea and coffee are provided for guests.
Each bedroom includes a queen size bed and wardrobe facilities. One bedroom also has a table and chair if you need to work.
There is a private bathroom with shower and toilet.
You have your own living area including kitchen, lounge with TV and dining room.
For your convenience, I provide environmentally friendly body wash, shampoo and conditioner. There is a hair dryer in the guests bathroom. There is also an iron and ironing table provided in the kitchen.
A comment I hear frequently from guests is "Its so quiet here", and its true, there is no traffic noise, all you hear are the birds.
NOTE: If your booking is for two people, but you wish to have both bedrooms, there is an additional cost of $35 per night. Just select 3 guests and the system will calculate the correct cost for you.
I live in the front half of the house, and my guests stay in the back half. Its up to you to let me know how much privacy you require. Some guests like to share the space with me, others prefer to have the space to themselves. I'm very relaxed about it. Just let me know and I will accommodate your needs.
Free on street parking for as long as you like - with no cost. Only the city streets are metered.
Your booking includes free wifi.
Interaction with guests
I have enjoyed being an airbnb host since January 2014. During this time I have met many wonderful people.
Part of the airbnb travellers experience can be getting to know new people and benefiting from local knowledge when you arrive in a new city. I am happy to be that person for you, and to discuss your plans, or suggest places you might visit while you are here.
However, some people prefer to have minimal contact and enjoy the privacy and seclusion of this beautiful home.
I'm relaxed about either scenario... I usually figure out what you need when you arrive. But if I get it wrong, just let me know.
Other things to note
Note that this is not a place for parties or friends to visit. It is anticipated that just those who are included in the booking will be in the house.
While airbnb lists infants separately, I ask you to pay for all people in your group. Please ensure that the number of guests is clear when you make your booking.
I hope you will relax, enjoy yourself and ask if you don't understand something or have any concerns.
This is a non smoking house. I enjoy people who are respectful of my home. Please be careful with the timber floors and not have suitcase wheels on it. Please do not have food in the bedrooms.
This house is not suitable for parties or gatherings, and all guests must be included in the booking.
Hi, I am an ex-pat Kiwi living in Adelaide. I love to travel .. I speak a little Spanish and I hope to improve, when i get the time !!!
I like to meet real people when I travel, so I am excited that with Airbnb I can also meet new people when I am at home.
In 2011 I visited Peru, Argentina and Chile. In September/ October 2014 I travelled to the US for the first time. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in San Francisco and then in Colorado. Guess what? .. I stayed airbnb and loved experiencing airbnb from the other point of view ... staying in peoples homes and enjoying THEIR hospitality !!
I have recently become a keen cyclist and am enjoying using all the cycle tracks in the city .. I would be very happy to provide information to help you do the same :)
