Welcome to our home away from home. The Mt Baker area is fantastic for those who love the outdoors. The slopes are 18 miles up the road, a hidden ski gem. Spectacular hiking, Excelsior, Artist Point and Skyline divide are personal favorites. Biking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, mountain biking, scenic strolls. Sit back and enjoy a family meal on our deck, hunker down for a night of music and games. Any season, any time, a great getaway.

We have vacationed at Dancing Bear Cabin 3 times now and have loved it each time. It's a wonderful summer destination for hiking and the kids love playing and biking in the neighborhood. The location of the house gives kids lots of freedom to roam and play. The house has beds for everyone and is well set-up. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything we need to cook all our meals. The bathrooms are clean, stocked with soap, shampoo and conditioner and the shower has good pressure. The cabin is clean and cozy; very pleasant to hang around playing games, eating and spending time together. Also, host Anita is super helpful and communicative. We'll be back again and again - it's a great home in a great area. Note - if you plan to hike in the area, stop by the ranger station nearby to check local conditions and closures - we found out that the access road to our favorite hike was closed.

Anita WA an amazing host, available and helpful. The house was great for a big family or 2 families, so quiet and peaceful! Great kitchen!

Nice secluded place, clean area in a gated community. River near by also. Not many stores around but enough for your daily needs. 1.5 hours to Vancouver and about 2 hours to Seattle. Mt Baker near by. Wineries, lakes and beautiful nature all around. Thanks Anita!

I took my boys high school basketball team out for Anita's Place for a memorable time with my players while attending a basketball tournament and they loved it and had a great time. They can't wait to return next summer!

It's a very nice place. House is in amazing location and Anita was very kind and friendly to give us all the information needed. The only issue was the comforters smelled really old and there was a love bug on one of the beds.

Response from Anita:
Hello Deepthi. Thank you for your stay at the Dancing Bear, we were happy to have you as our guests. I'm surprised about the comforters, as 7 of the nine are brand new. If you could specifically tell me which comforter, I would like to replace it. I'm not surprised about a bug appearing, as Glacier is "in the woods", and insects find their way in to homes. We would be happy to have you back again.

Great cabin-cozy but spacious- in beautiful wooded setting near a river with easy access to hiking trails/Mt Baker. The cabin is located in a quiet and clean gated community near an outdoor pool/ tennis courts which Airbnb guest are not allowed to use. I appreciated being able to bring our dog. Host was accessible, friendly and easy to communicate with. I expected the cabin/bathroom to be a bit cleaner- a concern the host dismissed when being contacted prior to posting this review.

Response from Anita:
Astrid and I had a wonderful communication going. Laughter and sharing hiking stories about kids being resistant but as they grow they are the hike initiators. I was surprised and saddened when she held a review over my head and wanted her cleaning fee back. Issue was spider in the tub and dust around the sink. (New sink was just installed). I have a professional cleaning service attend to the cabin after each renters stay. Proud of the comforts and the great outdoors our cabin provides.
