The space

Before we start, here are 3 things people love about our Spacious Apartment Next to Victoria Park:

1 - The location is simply outstanding. Beaumont Quarter is located little more than a stone's throw away from the hustle and the bustle of the city, yet tucked away in the best fringe location Auckland has to offer. We are isolated from the noise of the central city, however it's just a short 5-15 minute walk to Wynyard Quarter, Ponsonby and much of the CBD. Our guests frequently comment on how quiet Beaumont Quarter is given its central location.

2 - Unlike many of the shoebox apartments in the CBD, our place has 67 m² floor area (similar to some two bedroom apartments). This means we have space for a full lounge suite, a six seater dining table and a kitchen that you won't feel cramped in. The apartment has been recently renovated and furnished to a very high standard with modern contemporary furniture. High ceilings and an abundance of natural light through the north-facing floor-to-ceiling ranch sliders make this a light and airy, spacious apartment.

3 - Guests frequently mention in reviews about how comfortable the Sleepmaker Posture Align bed is when combined with the 600 thread count sheets and the wool all-seasons duvet. Lisa from Mangawhai said "The beds were fantastic. Just bliss when you put your head on the pillow and snuggled in those luxurious linens. I have to say this because so often in NZ those that rent private accommodation do not make this a priority." The bed is super king size, which gives you and your partner plenty of space. We can also split it into two long single beds (203cm long x 91cm wide) which can provide an option for good friends.

Here are 3 things to consider before renting our Spacious Apartment Next to Victoria Park:

1 - The apartment is in a residential area and close-knit community, so no parties are permitted in the apartment at all times during your stay. This applies to all residents, so ensures you will have a peaceful and quiet stay yourself.

2 - Even though private and elevated, the apartment is located in a central city neighbourhood, so you will be surrounded by buildings and other residents. That’s not a downside, since the neighbours are generally a very considerate group of people, but you will be aware of their presence on occasion. Most people actually love it, since you will have a chance to meet locals and quickly strike up a conversation. Live like a local amongst locals and you will love your stay.

3 - Living in a close-knit community requires some basic rules to make things easier. We ask that you abide by these rules and that you are a considerate neighbour. By all means, live and enjoy yourself, just be mindful of noise and loud music both inside and out and you’ll have a fabulous time.

Sit back and relax in style on the comfortable sofas while watching Netflix on the 49" 4K Smart TV or listening to some music on the stereo system (Bluetooth, CD player or radio). The wifi is connected to an unlimited high-speed 100 Mbps fibre internet connection.

Our fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, hob, oven and fridge/freezer includes chef-quality stainless steel gourmet cookware and good quality knives. We've supplied a Nespresso machine and milk frother for coffee aficionados, and a classic teapot so you can brew the perfect cup of tea.

The bedroom has a super king-size bed (that can be split into two long singles on request). Beds come with wool all-seasons duvets, 600 thread count sheets and a selection of soft, medium, hard and feather pillows. There is a large chest of drawers and the large closets are stocked with clothes hangers. You can continue watching your Netflix in the bedroom on the wall mounted HD Smart TV.

Guest access

Access to the recreation centre including gym, pool, spa and sauna is from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Interaction with guests

We also live in Beaumont Quarter, so we can pop over and provide assistance if required. We will do our best to greet you at check-in.

To reduce the amount of chemicals used, you must use the shower located within the recreation centre before using the swimming pool or spa. This is enforced using CCTV and will result in a $50 fine if violated. Please follow the other rules detailed on the recreation centre door.

Visitor parking is only for 3 hours and this is enforced with clamping/towing 24/7. If you need to stay longer, there is pay parking out on Beaumont St, which becomes free parking after 6 pm. If you need an car park let us know and we can try to sort out an extra car park for you. If you are staying overnight, Beaumont Quarter considers you a resident and may only use the visitor parking for 10 minutes for pick ups / drop offs. We want to make sure your group have a good experience, and getting clamped/towed and then getting pinged $200 would probably ruin your day.

Please be aware that if you burn any food when cooking, do NOT open the front door out to the hallway to disperse the smoke. Instead, open the ranch slider and bedroom windows and the smoke should clear in a couple of minutes. If the smoke detector in the hallway is triggered, then the entire building alarm goes off, everyone in the building needs to evacuate, and three fire trucks are automatically sent out. Beaumont Quarter get charged for the fire trucks in the case of false alarms, and they pass this cost along (roughly $500).

For long-stay booking requests 27 nights or longer, we require that guests sign a standard "New Zealand Residential Tenancy Agreement". This gives you the same protections as other tenants in New Zealand, and helps keep our insurance company and accountant happy. After you have booked, we'll send you a link to a document that you can electronically sign.

Loved this place so much!! Felt bad after having to leave in a hurry not leaving the place not the tidest after such an amazing stay. The apartment was beautiful, the towels soft, the products all eco store, the coffee machine a life saver, the gym and pool was a little hard to find but after a wonder around found it and was well equipped, check in easy ☺ 4.5* only 2 little things is the door is heavy so it slams easy unless you hold it till closed and the bed was not the most comfortable all the pillows and devet and bankers were soft and polishing mattress was uncomfortable been the first guest there I'm sure it was an over site after spending all week getting the place ready simply fixed with a mattress topper ☺

We love to travel. We've backpacked around South America and spent our honeymoon in East Africa. We've made it to all of the continents except Antartica. Now that we have a young son, our traveling is a bit less adventurous.

We've lived in Beaumont Quarter for the last five years. We love living here, it is so convenient to everything, so close to the city and yet quiet and calm.

We'll strive to make your experience at our place a memorable one. We hope you make a reservation at one of the several places that we are hosting on Airbnb.
