Walking distance to the Convention center and the Sprint center. Homy, eclectic, artsy loft with an open floor plan making it feel like a shared space studio loft. Shared space and shared bathroom with us. Loft also has amenities. Nestled between the diverse, hipster River Market area and the upscale Power and Light District full of bars and restaurants. Close to everything downtown and all public transportation!

The space

Our space is eclectic and artsy. Most of the day, you will have it to yourself. This is perfect for traveling couples or singles. You will sleep on a comfy pullout sofa-bed in the living room/kitchen area. There is a half wall to our bedroom with no door (can see in kitchen photo) so it feels like a studio apartment because we share the space and bathroom. Very open floor plan with not as much privacy because you are sleeping in the common area. You can come and go as needed at any time as long as you are QUIET. Emphasis because we have had some very loud guests in the middle of the night. You also have gym, dry sauna, roof access (until 10pm), party room access, and laundry room access if you ask. Also! I have a calico cat named Lily a cuddly dog named Kali.

Guest access

Guests will have access to the Lower Level which includes a gym, dry sauna, tanning booth and party tv room. There is also a rooftop patio. The first photo is a view from the roof. I have the key to all amenities, so must ask for access. Please let me know ahead of time so I can get you a key or be there to grant access. There is laundry on the lower level as well. No key required but it takes quarters.

I also have a Kansas City Travel Guide PDF if you are interested!

Interaction with guests

If I am around when you check in, then I will see you. I might be hanging around my place and because I have a half wall to my room, it feels pretty open. Like a studio apartment. Most days I will get up early and leave so you might not see much of me. Some nights I might not even be there. I can be reached by phone.

Other things to note

I do have a dog and cat. Best not to book if you have allergies. Also don't book if you want to be loud at night.

Kate was awesome and her space was the perfect fit for our weekend getaway. We had a lot of events happening downtown, so to be able to park our car and take public transit/walk the entire time was great. Can't wait to stay again!

Kate was very accommodating and her clear instructions shared on the listing made checking in quite smooth. The space had an eclectic decor and was quiet and peaceful. Sofa bed was comfortable. Pets were friendly and cute. Overall good stay.

Briefly met Kate and Evan, but they left me a very nice impression. Kate was very accommodating with my arrival and departure logistics. Apartment is super cool, but - as other reviews mention - you need to be OK with a few aspects: limited privacy, two pets, and some AC noise. This was perfect for my needs.

This was a great place to stay! The location is great for walking around downtown, to the Power and Light district, and to River Market. The street car has a stop just a couple blocks away so you can get around very cheap or even free depending how far you want to go. Even better than the location was the loft itself! Kate and Evan were great hosts -- very friendly and easygoing, and had good suggestions of places to check out when the rain canceled our original plans. Their loft is very artsy and cozy and we felt right at home. I was a little unsure about sleeping in someone's living room instead of having a private room, but it ended up working perfectly for us. They also have the greatest pets on the planet.

Kate was a great host! She also has a really cute cat and dog, both of which love people. Also Kate was really flexible when my flight in ended up being delayed, so that was well appreciated.
