The perfect get-a-way just outside Jim Thorpe. Due to height of Fall foliage season, we struggled to find an affordable place - and this was a great find ! You go "back in time" with decor - but all very clean and kitchen has everything you'd need for comforts of home. David was immediate with responses and great communication.

Lovely little two bedroom house with a yard outback, cable tv, wifi internet, large shower, at the end of a quiet neighborhood street. I was looking to spend the weekend away with my dog and it was perfect. Great location- 10 min drive to Mauch Chunk Lake, 15 min drive to Jim Thorpe, 20 min drive to Glen Onoko Falls trail head. Many other trails to hike in the area. Just 1.5-2 hours from Philly. The house was very clean and had an interesting 70s feel. Kitchen was fully stocked with large selection of cooking utensils and cookware. David also provided a voucher for a free meal and drank at a nearby bar/grill which was a great bonus. The stairs were very steep. We had a very pleasant stay and will definitely return in the future.

Was very clean. Nice area. Had everything I needed and didn't seem like a typical rental with cheap things for people to use. Owner was very quick with his responses to my questions. Would stay again. Thank you.

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend weekend and it was in a good location near Mauch Lake and about a 10-15 min. drive to Jim Thorpe downtown area. We had our 2 Pugs with us and it was nice that the house was pet friendly and had a big fenced in backyard. We spent most of our days out an about but it was nice to have a full kitchen in the morning and evening. For the price it was great and suited our needs which was a minimum of a place to hang our head at night. As other reviews have said its not modern and is a older motel style row home, however was clean, had WIFI and cable so thats all we really needed. Besides that David is super responsive and a good host.

We had a lovely time staying here. And if you love Stranger Things, this house is an immersive 70s-80s experience and you should definitely stay here! We were completely charmed.
