The apartment looks like on the pictures or even better: clean, spacious, very comfortable, great air-condition, direct access to the pool etc. The location is also great – in a peaceful area close to the train station, between city centre and the beach.
It would have been perfect if we would not have to experience few disturbing situations:
1. We arrived very early so we asked if it would be possible to check in before 16, we received an answer that probably its not possible. Around noon we tried contacting the co-host to agree on check in time and then we realized that the number we got is incorrect. We called Pamela few times but due to a time zone difference with no luck, later we also contacted airbnb that also couldn’t help much and almost canceled the reservation due to no contact with the host or co-host… we waited at the front door for several hours (means apartment has been already cleaned before) and at 18 we got a short text with a correct number to contact co-host.. first day of our holiday was full of stress and worrying if we will have a roof over our heads..
2. The day before check out we asked politely if we could maybe stay a bit longer(sms).. We got no answer and next day at 10:40 AM three/four ladies knock the door if they could start the cleaning.. we let them in even though it was a bit disturbing to pack last items when the house is full of people..
3. Lastly – we really looked forward having a grill that has been mentioned in the description.. When we arrived there was no grill or anything for it. Co-host said it has been ordered and it will come on Monday (never came – we stayed until Thursday) so he organized a small one next day but it was far from a real grill that could be actually used and enjoyed.
All in all the apartment and location are great, co-host was in general helpful with the grill but we got a bit bitter taste because of lack of communication (check in and out). Otherwise it would have been one of the best holiday apartments we stayed at.
