Lee Ann booked my place very early on, and I was looking forward to welcoming them, however my housekeeper could not make it at the last moment due to some unforeseen circumstances. Once I knew about this, I immediately told Ann my solution, and Ann accepted it. But after 1 hour, I was told that Ann’s family could not accept the solution, even as I tried to make amendments, Ann was adamant that they would not accept any compensations, and would rather choose to cancel their stay, to my great disappointment. As a superhost in Taipei City, I felt really bad about the situation, but on top of that, I received a 1-star review which hurt me deeply. My promptness and earnestness in dealing with the situation was to no avail. This booking cancellation has already resulted in lost earnings, and I was willing to abide by Airbnb’s Cancellation policies, their policies protect the interests of both guests and hosts, so Ann could check these policies to better understand the penalties involved.
