House is located on a quiet dead-end street, across the street from the American Hotel. Very accessible, yet very private. Beautiful screened porch overlooking Brimstone Creek and perennial gardens.

The space

The house is within a short walk to everything Sharon Springs has to offer. The Beekman 1802 Merchantile is practically next door, as are the Black Cat Cafe, the 204 Main Bar & Bistro, the American Hotel's bar and restaurant, and the Spring House Spa, as well as other wonderful shops.

Guest access

Guests will have access to the whole house, including the washer and dryer. The bathroom amenities are from the Beekman 1802 Merchantile. There are 2 porches to choose from; the screened porch overlooks Brimstone Creek. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a Keurig (and a choice of coffees). The 2 queen beds have down duvet covers (cotton blankets upon request) and feature quality linens from Marimekko, Eileen Fisher, and Pine Cone Hill.

Shelley and her home are absolutely lovely. The circumstance that brought us to town was a sad one, but everything about this space was welcoming, comforting and peaceful. Exactly what we needed after a difficult week. We are so grateful for her kindness and flexibility in accommodating us at the last minute and look forward to a return visit under happier circumstances.

Everything was perfect! It was like staying in our own 5 star hotel, but with the privacy of a charming house right in the middle of town. The house was so beautiful and clean with great towels and comfortable beds. It was also great coming in and having some fresh muffins and fruit waiting for us: what a treat. The house itself was really well done, with a mixture of beautiful old wooden doors, reclaimed wood on hall wall, and amazing finishes and tile work in the spacious bathroom that has an amazing shower. And the outside was great too; small gardens, running brook, cute sheds and 2 outside porches. Best part was that it was right in town so we could walk to restaurants and shops, but still had plenty of privacy and a beautiful yard. We could really tell Shelley put a lot of time and effort into thinking of everything, and that made it a real pleasure to stay there. Great experience! Thanks so much.

Great location in Sharon Springs-almost on the Main Street with local restaurants, bars and boutiques all within a 2 min walk. House is also very well shown in the pictures and a well equipped and tasteful place to stay. Would happily come back

My husband, 17 month old and myself were in town for the Baseball Hall of Fame induction weekend and stayed at the Division Street Cottage. For starters, the pictures don't do it justice!... it's a beautiful home that was purchased to host guests and we were their first visitors. Even though Shelley lives 2 hours away, she and her husband drove into town so she could meet us upon arrival. The property is serene and quiet, and if you open the window, you can hear the spring running outside. There is an outside, screened patio which is great for morning coffee, or just a quiet escape. The home is equipped w/wifi, Roku TV, the softest towels you'll ever have in your adult life and a beautiful upstairs restroom (that I didn't confirm but would put money on) has a heated floor! Shelley was a great host and available via text at any time. The town of Sharon Springs is very small, so stop for any essentials/restaurants, etc. before heading into town. We spent most of our time in Cooperstown (quick 20 minute drive) so there are nearby options for dining, light shopping, etc. I highly recommend this property—you will not regret your stay & Shelley is the sweetest host!
