Shepherd's Hut set in an idyllic Hampshire village close to the River Test. Comfortable, self-contained and with beautiful views, it has immediate access to the countryside but is still close to the cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury and the market town of Stockbridge.

The space

The Hut consists of a galley kitchen, table and two bench seats, a double bed, an en suite shower room and log burner. Outside there is a table and chairs and wonderful views over the Hampshire countryside.

Guest access

The Shepherd's Hut is in our garden but away from the house. Parking is either in our driveway or in the field adjacent to the garden. You are welcome to make the garden in the immediate vicinity of the hut your own and the animals always welcome visitors!

Other things to note

The nearest animals to the Shepherds Hut are our wonderful Rare Breed Pigs, one Large Black and one Oxford Sandy and Black and depending on when you visit their offspring

Compact, ingenious Shepherds hut. Set in beautiful countryside. Good points - it has a very comfortable bed, (which folds away into the wall) nice shower and toasty log burner fire. Nicholas was very friendly when we arrived and showed us around. 'Any questions, give us a shout'. Highly recommend the homemade marmalade but if you want more for breakfast, bring along eggs and bacon etc as there's a 2 ring Hon on the counter. Great for a short stay. It's snug, so not loads of room to unpack all your things or cook a 3 course meal but perfect for an over night or a weekend. I loved it.

Had a lovely stay, really great shepherds hut and lots of space. No blind on kitchen window or in shower room which was a little less private than we would have liked, but other than this the place was beautiful and we were completely left to our own devices and had a great rest.

A perfect place to relax and unwind in a peaceful setting. The shepherd's hut is cosy, stylish, clean and fully equipped with everything you need - fantastic shower, fridge, hob and we particularly loved the wood burning stove which really added to the cosy ambiance. Our hosts provided provisions for breakfast which was much appreciated. There are plenty of lovely places to eat and explore just a short drive away. Thank you for letting us stay and making us feel so welcome.
