I checked myself in, everything was ready on the unfolded couch, then I said hi to a few other guests in the house and went to bed. There was a bit of traffic in the kitchen during the night but everyone was well behaved and nobody did a lot of noise. Definitely recommended if you need a place to sleep through the night and then continue on your way.
This is my second experience with Airbnb. Because I'm not a frequent user of Airbnb I rely heavily on reviews from others to kinda help me decide. I was tryna book Aug 28 in Daly City but I couldn't. I wanted to start my trip so I found Jin's place in Union City. Close enough. Easy to book with him and he was responsive within 10mins each time I reached out to him. So his responsiveness is what settled me. Communication is so key with me whoever you are and if you got it there then I am sold. He was really flexible on the check-in time. I appreciated that about him. His normal check in is 3pm and he allowed me to check in at 1:30pm. I arrived 30mins early and contacted him at 1:15pm asking if I could check in early. He was fine with that. More brownie points to Jin!! So the house is decent/big. Hardwood floors (which I personally like) and they require you to take your shoes off and leave them on a rack which I support wholeheartedly. My space wasn't ready but then again I requested an early check in so it didn't give them much time to straighten it up. But upon arrival I didn't meet Jin but a female. She didn't speak English so we had to communicate via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) translate. She cleaned my space which was fine. I'm not gonna be picky about little things because it was clear others were living there. I actually was relaxed in my little space. It was so quiet! There wasn't a lot of human traffic in my little cut off space in the living room. Only after like 8pm I then noticed some human traffic. Not so much past my little space but it was a bit noisey. It was even more clear that some of the people i saw/heard were permanent guest. Since the little space is right by the kitchen I could obviously hear everything. One of the tenants decided he wanted to play his music not mindful that someone was in the little space tryna rest. A lot of flickering of lights on/off and loud talking. This was around 10pm. Luckily I brought my headphones and slipped them on and watched some Amazon Prime on my iPad. The bed was a fold out bed. I did have some back problems but I can't say it was an awful lay. I slept good. You have access to the kitchen and bathroom. The downstairs bathroom is just a vanity room and the only shower appears to be upstairs. I did see a lot of product in the shower, however, I bought my own and I would advise since there are permanent guest there and its hard to know which is for airbnb guest and if it belongs to the tenant. The bathroom is a nice size and I am a big guy. Overall minus those inconveniences spoken above I don't see a reason...
This is an airbnb-only house. The bed I had was a comfy sofa in what would be the dining area. The downstairs has a laminate floor and an open plan, and the room divider that provides privacy is lightweight, so noises and common area lights can be disruptive, even if the other people aren't being unreasonable (which no-one was). I wouldn't recommend the corner sofa for someone who is a light sleeper, though other rooms will likely be fine. Quite clean, despite a lot of people living there.
The house was clean and the host is extremely flexible. Loved the location as it is very close to a lot of great eateries and convient stores. The house is very quiet for the most part however some times you could a constant hum from the microwave at midnight which was a little annoying. But nothing major. I highly recommend.
