Welcome! Marge's Place is a charming one-bedroom, one-bath apartment in a duplex on a quiet street. Perfect for four adults or a family. Close to bus routes, shopping, downtown and the military bases. This spot has a queen bed in the bedroom and a comfy queen-size IKEA fold-out couch in the living room. Pack-N-play or kids air mattress provided if needed.
Outside is a huge, sunny, fully-fenced yard with garden boxes and a fire pit.
Marge's Place is unique in that it provides quick access to downtown Anchorage, the Mat-Su Valley and the military bases while still being a very quiet, private setting. The large fenced back yard is bordered by neighboring yards so has no pass-by traffic to disrupt your enjoyment of the space. We have a Fred Meyer, Target, Best Buy, Sams Club, Wal-Mart and many others less than ten minutes' drive away from the property.
This is a small duplex. There are long-term tenants in the rear unit that share the fenced-in yard. You will have complete, private use of the entire front apartment including a private entrance. Enjoy!
Interaction with guests
My husband and I live less than a mile away. We will be available if needed and you may see us around doing yard work but we won't be in your space unless requested or required. If we are out of town for some reason, we have a family member who is also an Airbnb host who can be available to assist with any issues. We are always quick to respond to messages.
Rules are lame so we'll keep it short!
•Please make sure that the yard gates are closed and latched behind you 100% of the time when coming and going.
• Take out trash, wash dishes and leave the unit clean upon leaving - THANK you!
•No extra overnight guests without approval from host.
•Quiet hours from 10pm - 7am in accordance with Anchorage Noise Ordinance. Please keep in mind that the long-term tenant neighbors are not on vacation! They appreciate your consideration. :)
•No events or parties
•Enjoy the heck out of Alaska!
I've been in Alaska all my life as far as I can remember. They tell me I was born in California but I'm sticking to my native Alaskan story!
Someday when I grow up, I'm going to be a mountain runner and professional nap-taker. Until then, I'm putting my best efforts into raising two wonderful daughters, supporting my husband's flying career and managing our rental properties.
As an airbnb host, I strive to anticipate our guests' needs and take care of them before they become evident. I get a rush out of hearing that our guests thought of something they needed and then discovered it was already waiting for them, tucked away in a cupboard or drawer right at their fingertips.
As an airbnb guest, I like to make sure that when I check out, I leave the unit, the hosts and the neighbors exactly the way I would want our guests to leave us. Tidy and happy!
I love to:
•spend time with our huge, incredible family - preferably at our cabin
•lose myself with the dog on the local trails
•surprise people by getting them hooked on Alaska
•sneak in any moments I can around all of the above to curl up with a good book
