Just 10 minutes from Central Station, lies the ship Sachsen-Anhalt. Yes, she is the longest one. We have a stereo set for our 80-ies vinyl collection and 80-ies CD collection, but it will also play your own music via mini-jack.

We spent 3 days in Amsterdam and we can recommend Ingeborg's houseboat to anyone!! It's a wonderful place to be. Quiet, spacious, only 10 Min. from the centre by bus....... just perfect! We hope to come back one day! Thanx :)

We came to stay here for our honeymoon. On the day of our wedding we received a lovely text message from Ingeborg congratulating us. Upon arrival she had put decorations on the door and window and left us a beautiful bunch of red roses with a note. Such a lovely touch. She was always there to help with anything if we needed advice or tips on the local area, but unless you needed them you wouldn't know they were right next door. The boat had everything we needed and more: extra pillows, blankets, board games, umbrellas and lots of books on the local area. The boat was far enough from the city that we felt like we were away from the hustle and bustle and it was peaceful. But close enough that we could walk into the city (which we did every day, and it took around 30 minutes down the river) or take a short bus ride and be in the city in 10 minutes. We had a fantastic honeymoon and will definitely be back.

Everything was amazing- the boat is spacious and clean, well designed and was perfect for our family of 4. It would also be great for a couple. We jumped off the dock into the water on hot afternoons. We had dinner on our private deck and we rented bikes and went everywhere on them. It was an amazing trip!

Very nice houseboat with spacious living room. In my opinion the best option if you travel to Amsterdam in a group of people who doesn't want to get separate while beeing in a hotelroom. Thank you for the housing it was a pleasure

This lovely boat is in a great location, close to the centre and yet calm and relaxing. The accommodation is comfortable, spacious and interesting. The locals are friendly and Ingeborg and Renze are really kind, helpful and very good at suggesting fun things to do, e.g. swimming off the boat, catching a free ferry to North Amsterdam or eating at amazing local restaurants. The deck area is a relaxing place to be and inside is super comfortable. We feel that we hit gold when we chose this boat - it is just wonderful.

What a fun and unique place to stay while visiting Amsterdam. Super easy to public transportation. Quiet area. Awesome deck. Fun to relax around the fire and hang out on hammock. All sorts of games and music available. We were a bit disappointed that laundry facilities were not available during our stay. Nice kitchen with coffee and tea available for us. Large, nice bathroom. Easy walk to grocery store. Overall great place to stay.

Response from Ingeborg:
Dear Lori, thanks for your review! We've been in contact personally but I wanted to clear the laundry issue to future guests: we heat our ship and make hot water via a sustainable system with heat pump and make electricity with solar panels. Our ecofriendly approach also means we do not have a dryer and line dry our clothing. During Lori's stay the weather forecast was rain and showers, doing her washing could mean they had to travel home with wet clothes so we advised her not to do a washing. I do understand the disappointment of not being able to clean your clothes. Her clothes got stuck in the system of us trying to live a sustainable lifestyle and we're sorry for it.

Such a great place to stay, fun and interesting to be aboard! Wonderful hosts and a location that is convenient to trams and buses which is a great way to get around. Also close to shops, restaurants and bars. It was fun to have an outdoor fire on a chilly night. It was a quiet place to stay, and a tram/bus ride away to get to the central area of tourist attractions. Great place for a small family as it is VERY spacious. So nice to have coffee and tea provided too! Lots of pamphlets with information about museums, attractions, and a list of suggested restaurants, bike rentals and bars nearby. Thanks for your hospitality!
