Originally built in the 1940's, the Guest House is located directly on Park Blvd, the road that leads into the National Park. It's also within walking distance to "downtown" Joshua Tree, so you can walk down to town / the Saloon / the Park Visitor's Center / Crossroads / Saturday Farmer's Market / all the local shops cafes and eateries.

The space

The guest house is like a small studio apartment. It has a cute kitchenette set up - 2 burner portable stovetop, microwave, toaster oven, fridge, and then of course has its own private bathroom. There's great wifi and a TV with roku (hbo / netflix). There will also be everything else like clean sheets, towels, shower stuff. The guest house is attached to the main house but it is its own separate-entranced not shared unit.

Get in touch with any questions, the Guest House was my first project out here and think it is a fantastic way to experience Joshua Tree!

This place is definitely cozy, but was just fine for our 2 night/2 day stay in Joshua Tree. Granted, we did stay during a very hot week but had to keep the AC running almost the entire time when we were there in order to maintain any sort of comfort. The bed is very snug for 2, but again was absolutely fine for 2 nights (albeit a little squeaky for those nighttime movers.) The location is exceptional and close to everything you might want or need and the area is great for a cooled down evening stroll in the immediate neighborhood. The ONLY issues we encountered were the copious amount of dead little desert gnats that lined the window sills and covered the shower floor. (Husband cleaned them up quite easily, and there wasn't a huge resurgence.) And on our last day, the toilet handle broke and so we couldn't flush the toilet. Again, not an issue for us and Ryan was very courteous and responsive when I let him know. Overall, we LOVED our accommodations and really enjoyed our stay for the Perseid meteor shower. Would recommend!

This is such a fantastic airbnb! I did a solo trip to Joshua Tree for a long weekend, and this was the perfect place. It's super clean, has a soft bed and sheets, is tastefully decorated, and conveniently located near Joshua Tree National Park. Would most definitely stay here again. Thanks, Ryan! :)

This place is small but cozy, and PERFECTLY placed if you want to hang out in Joshua Tree the city or head into the park. It was great. Ryan, the host was super helpful and gave a lot of good recommendations. I'd definitely stay here again.

Perfect location, the house and surrounding space was too cute! The owner extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn't be more satisfied with the place for the cost. Plan to come back soon!

The guest house was clean, decorated well, and was in a great location. It was a short drive to the national park, and a short walk into the town. Ryan provided a lot of information about nearby attractions by providing us with different brochures and pamphlets, it helped us out a lot! Overall had a great trip and would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I loved Ryan's place. It was a perfect spot to relax after hiking and exploring nearby Joshua Tree. It was really conveniently located - close to town for a bite to eat and just a few miles from the main park entrance. The house was just as pictured-- small but perfect for the two of us and very clean. Check in and out was easy too. We would love to stay here again on our next trip!

I'm Ryan, I've been out in Joshua Tree for 3 years. Falling in love with the high desert kind of took me my surprise. It is so incredibly peaceful, tranquil, serene, and inspirational. It's a great place to 'get away from it all' and discover your connections with nature and with yourself. I have a few places out here, all projects that I bought in rundown rough shape and fixed up myself.
My first one is in the Joshua Tree Village (JT Village Park Blvd one) that is rented as a house (for up to 4 people), a guest house (2 people, JT Village GH one), and both together (6-7 people, the "Full Experience" listing). They're within walking distance to the little town: the Saloon, Crossroads, the local Farmer's market, the National Park Visitor's center, the JT Health Foods store.
The other ones (360, Land of the Lost Boulders, Starfire, Chaparral Mesa, the Power Plant and the Outpost) are all within 15 minutes from the town. The Leeds Cabin is 25 minutes. 360 is about incredible views, boulders, and wildlife - more adorable animals than I've seen anywhere in the Morongo Basin. The Lost Boulders house sits on the most serene and explorable land, and has a spectacular energy inside. Starfire has an unmatched setting - perched on top of a hill, the only house on that hill, overlooking it's own mini canyon. The design and feeling at Chaparral Mesa is the most 'frontier'' - a true feeling of being a pioneer in a homesteader cabin. The Power Plant of the Dorthian Löwen (looow-ven), all about sleek modern minimal design, a clutter-free experience that brings out the gorgeous desert colors in the mountains that surround. The Leeds Cabin is a small all-you-need cabin with nothing but beautiful quiet desert surrounds. My most recent project, the Outpost, I picture back in the Wild West a place that you've traveled for a full day to get to, to find out news from back East and rest your head and horse for the night.
I love each and every one of them, they've all been important and valued stages in my life. They have become a part of who I am.
I'd be happy to help plan your time out here, and let me know if you have any questions about the projects or the area in general. They are much more than 'airbnb's to me - I love each and every one of them!
