This grade II listed building has unparalleled dual aspect sea views and has been designed to be the ultimate creatives retreat to the beach. Cosy in winter, airy and sun drenched in summer - it is my respite and tonic from city life and I hope you will find it that too.

Margate is a gem on the English coastline. Once a much loved holiday resort destination since the Victorian times, it is seeing a resurgence again as holiday makers flock to it's golden sand beaches, safe swimming spots and killer sunsets. Turner described the area saying that “…the skies over Thanet are the loveliest in all Europe” and T.S Eliot spent time writing here among others - so it's been hosting creative people for a long time. The apartment is located 2 mins walk from the Turner contemporary art gallery, 5 mins walk from the Old Town with lovely cafes, cakes and antique shopping to be had. Across the road from the apartment is access to a lovely deserted beach at mid-low tide, and just around the corner is Margate Sands, the main beach with stacks of room for everyone.

You will be able to walk everywhere you need to get to. Taxis are cheap and easily available. The apartment is an easy 15 min walk from the train station, or a £3.40 taxi ride.

Joanna's place was great - beautiful flat, fantastic views, brilliant location - her communication was great too, and she even sent us an amazing welcome pack with great tips on things to see and do in town. Check in and out was easy and hassle-free, and there was a nice tray of breakfast, coffee, tea and snacks waiting for us when we got there. All in all, a thoroughly excellent experience. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful flat, with great views of the sea! It is well located for everything Margate has to offer. Joanna was very helpful from the moment I booked and offered lots of great tips about Margate. I would definitely stay again on my next trip, and would recommend this flat to anyone.

Joanna's flat is lovely. Cosy and stylishly fitted-out with a stunning panoramic view across the bay. You can stroll to the town and harbour easily- for us the location was perfect. We didn't meet Joanna but communication was excellent and she provided a welcome pack pdf with check-in details and local recommendations. She also left us tea, coffee, croissants and cakes :)

I had a bit of work to do when I arrived and sat on the couch staring out the enormous window to the sea while I got it all done. Same couch, same window for morning coffee, and a glass of wine. Beautiful view! Had some great walks and meals as well out and about.

Gorgeous flat with sweeping sea views. Joanna is the perfect host, very accommodating and considerate to make sure that my stay was as enjoyable as possible. Her home is very clean and peaceful and she left some lovely touches; coffee beans to freshly grind (machine in the flat!), croissants, cherries and bottled water. I had a scorching hot day and a night of thunderstorms, both of which were great to observe from the flat's cute balcony which overlooks the coast. Communication and collecting the keys were very easy. I'd highly recommend!
