The Wedding House is a charming, peaceful, fisherman’s cottage just 20 metres from a beautiful beach on the Moray Firth, set within the conservation village of Sandend with its small lanes and harbor. It features a traditional log burner for cosy Scottish evenings.
Recently renovated, a mix of modern clean minimal design and original features. The kitchen has everything a home chef could need from Sabatier knives to every size pots. New handbuilt beds, shutters and thick carpets complement the cosy bedrooms.
Local highlights include the village fish shop, and portsoy ice cream.
The kitchen diner has a multi fuel log burner, ceramic hob and oven and microwave as well fridgefreezer and washing machine. The cottage is set back from the road and safe for children. We can provide a high chair and stair gates. There is no allocated parking, but space can always be found along the road 12 metres from the house.
The houses are end on to the sea, separated by narrow lanes close to the picturesque harbor and sandy beach. The Wedding House is in the second row back from the harbour, and has outside space by the front door and at the back in a yard which is a real sun trap in the evening.
Interaction with guests
Sandend is nicely busy during the summer months, and the proximity of the cottages offers some sedate socialising if you feel so inclined.
Please read house notes and treat property with respect and care.
With many thanks.

I love the sea, wildlife, walking and cycling and I'm keen birdwatcher and conservationist. I've spent most of my life working in the arts first as an artist and lecturer, then as a funder and moved on to working as a self employed curator developing arts and regeneration projects.
I am very lucky to live between the stunningly beautiful Moray Firth and the heart of Bristol City.
