Our Edwardian house is in the heart of Gomshall, a delightful Surrey Hills village, close to the station. The bedroom is at the top of the house with a view of the Tillingbourne stream and a stone’s throw from the 17th century Gomshall Mill Restaurant and Pub. This quiet second-floor room is compact but fine for two people, is across from our home office and very private in the evening. The bed can be made as a large double, single or two twins, just let us know beforehand.

We have stayed at Lisa's before, and had just a nice stay this second time. The room is lovely and clean and quiet, and nearby the gomshall mill, which is one of our favourite pubs in Surrey. Great location for walking.

Had a very brief but lovely stay. Lisa and Chris were charming. And we liked their dog too. The description is very accurate so we knew what to expect. Great value for money.

A very nice part of the countryside. And a lovely home. The room is great for one person, but I would consider it small for two. Nevertheless it is clean and quiet and comfortable. Lisa is a great host that will make sure you feel at home.

Lisa's room was small but very comfortable for two people. It's on the top floor so it was nice and private. Both Lisa and her husband were very lovely and helpful. And we got some nice snuggles from their dog too.

The room is rather small and crammed, barely the space to turn around. The 'view' consisted in the room overlooking the busy garden of a pub. The bed was not comfortable, the double mattress consisting in a strange assemblage of bits of sponge, duvets and single foam mattresses. Unlike what stated in the description there was no milk in the fridge. Difficult therefore to make oneself a cup of tea or coffee. We were made to feel unwelcome to be in any other part of the home than the room. No breakfast was served, which was stated in the description. However, given the general lack of comfort and the additional cost of buying breakfast at the rather overpriced nearby cafe, the room was definitely overpriced.

Response from Lisa:
Gosh, we are really sorry you didn't enjoy the room. We'll try to make improvements where we can. Were a bit puzzled by the mention of the milk – there is a mini fridge in the room (but perhaps too noisy for some) so you were offered some on arrival and the option to come down to the kitchen to collect some if wanted. The view might not be what you expected but we love the scenery over the willow trees, stream and 17th cent pub garden to the hills beyond. Airbnb tick box list shows coffee and tea along with breakfast so we were careful to explain in the text that we don't serve breakfast. You discovered, when inspecting the bed, that it is in fact two IKEA single beds pushed together with memory foam and a mattress topper, we're sorry it didn't suit you. It allows us to offer the room as a double, twin or single. If doors were shut (seeming unsociable) it was to keep the dog from bothering you when you came in and unfortunately when you left we had meeting with a pension adviser so couldn't say a proper goodbye. We can recommend the Rookery Nook in Shere that has a great view (village/hills) and full breakfast (but you'll pay £100).
