Can't even say enough great things about this space. Phenomenal, authentic, quiet, cozy, warm, and interesting are a few words that come to mind. We had an outstanding stay in this Yurt. The property is huge with trees everywhere and super secluded. If you're not hiking the woods or the rivers, you can chill out by one of the many fire pits, play some tennis, basketball, tightrope walk, whatever you're into, it is there. Liz is an amazing and gracious host, with a zest and positive attitude that is very contagious. Her dog is also a wolf, and will become your spirit guide.. The healing center is a unique place in this part of the world, I am a better human for having stayed there. Liz makes you feel very welcomed in her little world. I left a piece of myself there and will be back again someday. Recommended is an understatement.

My husband and I had such a wonderful stay in the yurt! Jeanette was there to greet us upon our arrival and gave us the yurt right next to the babbling creek. She was so friendly and encourages us to check out the property, which was super unique and cool, and gave us some good suggestions for things to do. The yurt was so fun! We had a really special time there. I hope we get to make it back again in our travels! If you're thinking about staying here - do it!

Our stay at the Heart Center was absolutely wonderful! We got in late, due to traffic, but Liz waited up. She was conned enough to show us to our yurt. The yurt was gorgeous and such a unique experience. Liz was also kind enough to give us a ride to the Appalachian Trail, where we hiked 8 Miles and then visited nearby Bryson City. We also enjoyed the tapoco lodge restaurant, which was a great recommendation from Liz! Thank you again for such a unique experience!

Hello I am Liz. I live in the great Smoky Mountains National Park area. I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, swimming, waterskiing, tennis and working outdoors on the land.

In my spare time, I love to travel, take photographs or read books, hike, and swim in the beautiful lakes in my area. My favorite places to travel to so far are all natural parks, Spain, London, Sedona, Arizona, India, Mexico, and South America.

The young man in the picture is my son Felipe who now lives in South Carolina. I also have an adopted son whose name is Dakota.

I am a socio/cultural anthropologist by education. My life's passion is in serving and empowering people to live a more peaceful, loving, joyful, and healthy life through teaching them about meditation, holistic living, healing energy work, and the inter-connectedness of all things. I am a Reiki master and a Non-Dual Kabbalistic Healer. I am also a therapeutic foster parent and run a not for profit camp, for abused, neglected and disadvantaged children.

I love children, people, animals, and look forward to a day when we all truly recognize our "Oneness", living in love, peace and harmony.

I have a beautiful dog named Wayah, which means eagle in Cherokee. She is half wolf and half German Sheppard. She has such a great personality that all my guests love her and want to take her home with them. Not happening!

I once took a silent retreat and the motto was "May all beings be happy." I like that!
