Set your natural clock to the rhythm of the sun and stars in this primitive camping place in front of Elk Mountain lookout tower! Unencumbered living off the grid, no tv, no wi-fi, limited electric, and spotty, if any, cell service. Sleep in a pop up camper. Amenities include an outdoor shower, an outhouse with a composting toilet, and free coffee in morning.
The camper has a propane stove, a small refrigerator and basic cooking needs.
If you didn't bring a sleeping bag, let me know and I will make up a bed for you!
Remote and uncrowded, but not off the beaten path! Explore the Black Hills, or head to Sturgis, but come back to solitude and quiet nights under the stars.
32 acres to explore, plus, The Elk Mountain Lookout tower is a fun climb up the hill. (1,000 ft in elevation and one mile back from our driveway)
Interaction with guests
I love socializing, but I also have work to do!
I will be happy to share my coffee with you in the morning, accommodate any requests you may have, (I have an assortment of basic camping gear on hand) and share some stories over a beer in the evening if you are around.
