Renovated 1890s character 3 bedroom home in the fashionable inner city area of Mt Victoria. The house is only a few minutes walk to Wellington's entertainment, waterfront and shopping precincts and is the perfect base from which to explore our fabulous city. Free WiFi
Entering through the front door into the enclosed porch, you might be tempted to spend the rest of the day here, sitting in the sun. But this house just gets better.
The house was built in the 1890's and you can still see many of the original features that have been meticulously preserved. Off the wide hallway to the left is the formal living room, with large sofas and a fireplace - if Jemaine the cat is in the house, you will probably find her here, curled up in front of the fire.
To the right is one of three bedrooms. Just past the living room is the master bedroom and past that another bedroom, all have queen size beds.
Two bathrooms ensure that there will be no morning rush as you all get ready to head out for the day to explore Wellington.
The back of the house opens out into a large open-plan living and entertaining area, complete with modern, fully equipped kitchen.
Open up the bi-fold doors to the sheltered, private courtyard and the only decision you will have to make is should you head out for dinner or stay at home and enjoy a meal under the stars.
Guests are welcome to use all areas of the home, apart from the study.
Interaction with guests
I will be there to meet you on arrival and am very happy to answer questions and provide any information that you need. From there the house is all yours.
Other things to note
If you like animals, Germaine the cat (named after Jemaine Clement from Flight of the Conchords) would be very happy to stay and keep you company. She tends to sleep a lot, so she won't ask for much apart from a bit of food one or twice a day and a little bit of attention when she's feeling needy.
Germaine leads a busy life so she's not always available, but if you are happy to have her around during your stay, let me know and I will check her diary and see if she's available!

I'm Grace and I'm originally from Sydney, but moved to Wellington nearly 20 years ago.
Apart from my family, travel is my passion. I have watched this city grow and change and officially become one of the best places in the world to live. I love meeting people and look forward to welcoming you to the 'coolest little capital'!
