This is a private 1 bedroom apartment (its own entry) on the 2nd floor of our 1920s Craftsman bungalow. Includes a living room, dining room, small kitchen, separate bedroom with full-size bed, and bathroom. For fun there's an original Nintendo hooked up. The living room futon sleeps one. Apartment is located Uptown (Carrollton) near Palmer Park, the streetcar, and a grocery and drugstore. It is convenient to Loyola and Tulane, and 15 min by car to the French Quarter.
The apartment is furnished with stylish, Modern furniture pieces and has windows looking out in all four directions of the house. I love that you can see the clouds and skyline all around. There is a fold out futon sofa and 2 chairs in the living room, with a television hooked to digital antenna and an original Nintendo system. Scandinavian style dining table seats 4, with a small nook in the dining room having a desk and office chair. The bedroom has a full closet for your use, a full bed, and an additional sofa. The spacious bathroom includes a Euro-style Washer/Dryer. The kitchen is admittedly small but has a full refrigerator, microwave, sink, and stove--- fully outfitted with cooking utensils and a coffee maker. I stock the coffee maker area with coffee, creamer, sugar, and a few granola bars.
You have private entry access to the entirety of the 1 bedroom apartment, which occupies the 2nd floor of our home. We live below and are available, but will not intrude on your stay unless needed.
Interaction with guests
We are available mostly by text with any questions you have, or recommendations for our favorite New Orleans places. We live on site so are available for emergencies, but prefer to stay dedicated to our busy life with jobs and toddler.
Other things to note
If you are traveling with a baby or children, we welcome that and would gladly provide additional accommodations (pack n play, sippy cups, baby bouncer, tub, etc) from our son's stash. We have installed a child's safety gate at the top of the stairs.

- We prefer quiet guests, as this is our home. We live below with our toddler.
My husband and I enjoy our busy creative life in New Orleans with our toddler and zippy rescue pup. I work as an art curator, and he is an architect. I am originally from Indiana, and he is from the north woods of Wisconsin. Together we love working on our 1920s bungalow house, taking long walks through exciting New Orleans, watching football, and gluing feathers onto our Mardi Gras costumes.
