Claire's flat was amazing and the absolute perfect choice for our weekend stay in Paris! Location: super easy to find within a 5 minute walk from the Metro station on a really convenient line and located in the middle of a really vibrant Paris community with food markets, bars, restaurants, cheese shops..! And yet the flat was always incredibly quiet, even with the balcony doors open all night. Flat itself: it is a really sizeable flat with loads of space for two people, well-decorated and really really bright. The double bed is really comfy and everything was impeccably clean. It has everything you might need, we particularly loved having the excellent wifi and speakers for our music. Host: we didn't meet Claire (her friend met us with keys when we arrived) but she really had thought of everything for our stay! She left us a bottle of wine and a super comprehensive guide to the area and to Paris, even with tips about using the washing machine and the bathroom sink!! As if the bottle of wine wasn't luxury enough, there were even miniatures of shampoo etc on the fresh towels laid out for us..! All in all we were very impressed and would very gladly stay at Claire's again :)

Claire and Johnny are great hosts. Claire is very caring and helpful. She gave us all the detail information before we checked in and welcomed us with a very nice bottle of wine with a warm welcome card. Love you Claire! Johnny accommodated us with our changing in check out time that we appreciated very much. The flat was nice and well taken care of. It's near to Sacre Coeur. Walking downhill from Sacre Coeur back to the apartment was a very pleasant experience for us. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Claire and Johnny's apartment.

We were so pleased with the apartment. Its was very clean and had everything u would need. The location is great as there are 2 metro lines closeby and only 4 stops to Gare du Nord, perfect for those travelling on the Eurostar. Also, if you're planning a longer stay, there is a fabulous fresh fish market just down the road, supermarkets, butchers, bakery, etc, ideal for those who'd like to cook in the apartments modern style kitchen. Unfortunately we didnt get to meet Claire but her hudband, Johnny, was a great host. Very flexible for checking in and out, easy to communicate and Claire had very kindly created an information pack with useful details about the apartment, local area and Paris. We would highly recommend this place. Merci beaucoup Johnny & Claire!

I had a slight obsession with the movie ‘Moulin Rouge!’ and then 'Amelie' so about 4 and a half years ago I decided to move to Paris from Chicago. I thought I'd only be studying abroad for a semester, but now it's been over six years...

I absolutely adore Paris and I work for a tourism company so part of my job is learning more about it! There are some fascinating stories and legends (have you heard of the demonic doors of Notre Dame?!).

Sometimes I contemplate moving back to Chicago but then I think of baguettes and almond croissants, cheese shops, daily markets, museums, Sacre Coeur and the view over the city, walking in the parks and along the Seine... and I know my time here is not yet finished.

I haven't had as much of a chance to travel around Europe as some of my friends, though I have loved Brussels, Bruges, Amsterdam, Cadiz, London, Budapest... but for all of my long vacations I go back to Chicago to visit friends and family.
