The cottage has lots of positives, it is very very quiet, some of the furniture is very pretty, sofas really comfortable, big basket of turf. It is a cold cottage so definitely light the stove when you get there. It could do with just a few more touches like a recycling bin, so…

We had a lovely stay at Maureens wonderful cottage. If you are looking for some peace and quiet this is the perfect place. Maureen was a good host and made sure we had everything we need. Will definitely come back. Thanks so much.

Maureen is a very gracious host - the cottage is a great spot for quiet in the Clare county country side. If you are traveling from the states be sure to look up driving time to the cottage and communicate with her when your check in time will be ahead of time to make things easi…

Maureen was very fast to communicate and painted a lovely picture of her cottage. It wasn’t exactly what we thought it would be, but we only needed it to sleep in before continuing on our journey. We had a roof over our heads and were grateful for that. Unfortunately, the bed lin…

Hi Sasha I have contacted the resolution centre regarding your comments. I was glad to accommodate your several extra requirements and demands. As the bed linens were spotless and I maintain a high level of cleanliness I feel your review is uncalled for. The two extra free adults I accomadated at your express wish and the hours of messaging that you subjected me to after midnight I will let go of. As my cottage is a family home there was one hidden Baileys glass which you found. This had a chip. I know that you found and used many other new clean perfect glasses mugs and cups to use instead because these were left all over my cottage. I recommend checking in before midnight because your messages after midnight show an inconsiderate attitude. The best of luck to you and you party of five.

The house is located in an ideallic location but unfortunately the cleanliness of the house was very disappointing. The house had not been cleaned, bed linen sheets, mattress was dirty and damp. The condition of the floors was poor and unswept and a broom was not available. My pa…

Response from Maureen:
Hi Micheal I called to the cottage after your message on the day you arrived. My cleaner had lit the stove for you so that explains the stove. Sorry! I have also laid new Lino this week. Although I came and checked over the cottage on the night you checked in I see from your review that my efforts did not satisfy you and that the countryside and Mother Nature perhaps doesn’t speak to you. Airbnb will advise you that when your payment gives you the entire place. With uninterrupted views and seclusion, breakfast is not included. However as a kindness I provided tea, coffee, sugar, butter, jam, honey. Go raibh mile maith agat. Go n-éirí an bóthar leat! (Good luck on your journey).

Beautiful little cottage in rural and quiet area. Great for a chilled few days away. Quite cold the first night so make sure to bring warm clothing and get the fire going.. which is a lovely feature:)
