Sheltered by large magnolias and a giant cedar, Beaumont House is an Anglophile's hideaway in the heart of Five Points, full of books and art and places to read or simply to enjoy the day, and an easy walk from the University, restaurants and shops.

The space

This cheerful, cozy house is 1900 square feet on a single level, presently arranged as a master bedroom with queen bed and bath, a guest bed room with double bed and bath across the hall, a den with a day bed and another full bath, a living room with fireplace (gas log) and a dining room, a separate study, a fully-equipped kitchen with two ovens, a laundry space, a utility room, and a one-car garage. The house has hardwood floors throughout, and is furnished with oriental rugs, fine contemporary furniture, antiques, and original art, including by Athens artists. In addition, off the kitchen at the back, a screened porch and a deck overlook a deep, shady lot of trees and shrubs that screen the property from the neighbors. The front of the house looks out toward a triangular park formed by the intersection of Milledge Circle and Westview Drive but is completely screened from the street by two very large magnolias, affording a pleasant sense of seclusion. An enormous Deodar cedar also stands at one end of the house.

Guest access

The full house and its amenities are yours to enjoy, including local telephone service, WiFi, cable TV, large flat screen TV, stereo system, and a security system.

Interaction with guests

We give you a quick tour, answer any questions you may have, and then leave you to enjoy the house or to get about your activities in the Five Points neighborhood or beyond.

Blair thought of every detail to make our stay special from local coffee, beer, and bread to local guidebooks and toiletries in the bathrooms. We couldn’t have picked a better spot! Quiet neighborhood that is walkable to everything!

This is truly a gem! Everything about our stay was beyond our expectations. Since I left, I have been gushing to friends about this wonderful home. Blair is a fantastic host who gave us a warm welcome. The home is spotless and filled with beautiful art, interesting books, and cozy places to relax. The screened-in porch is the perfect place to have your morning coffee and evening nightcap. Blair is responsive and kind. The local bread, coffee, and treats in the fridge and pantry are such a thoughtful touch. Small details such as the stocked kitchen and wonderful-smelling soaps are the kinds of things that made our trip that much more enjoyable. I hope to visit again soon!

This corner house in a quiet little neighborhood was ideal for our stay. The owner welcomed us at the door and offered useful information about the surrounding area. His place was well stocked with goodies and the house was very clean. We'll definitely look him up our next trip to Athens.

Blair is a perfect host and my daughter and I appreciated his helpful tips in the area. His guest home is exquisite with extra space and plenty of bathrooms so that you are not on top of each other or waiting for your turn. Definitely would use again when in Athens.
