Make yourself at home in this beautiful 1913 Craftsman in the heart of Eugene's historic Jefferson Westside neighborhood. You are greeted by the cheery colors, ancient twin camellias, and a newly landscaped yard. The house is beautifully restored with fine Craftsman details and modern amenities such as AC, hot water on-demand, and fast wifi. Whether for work or play, we happily welcome all to our relaxing family and 420 friendly abode.

The space

Make yourself at home in this beautiful 1913 Craftsman in the heart of the historic Jefferson Westside neighborhood. Our house is beautifully restored with fine Craftsman details, ornate trim, wood floors, and a brick gas fireplace. Out front is a large porch with swinging bench.

With 1200 air conditioned square feet, two bedrooms at opposite ends of the house, a kitchen, and separate dining and living rooms, there is plenty of space to spread out.

The large master bedroom offers a king size bed, desk and comfortable chairs as well as closet space and its own heating and AC. The back bedroom has a comfy queen bed under a loft with another queen. Great fun for kids of all ages. Both mattresses are cushy and locally made. Kick it in the LazyBoy, store your gear in the closet space, and enjoy your own heating and AC and door out to our landscaped patio.

The recently updated bathroom has a generous stall shower, new fixtures, and the hot water on demand ensures there is plenty for everyone.

Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen with a new gas stove and dishwasher. We supply organic tea, locally roasted organic whole bean coffee, and snacks.

You won’t find a cleaner, better appointed, or more centrally located place to stay.

Guest access

The lovingly landscaped patio is shared with the AirBnB apartment upstairs and equipped with an umbrella table and chairs. There is shared off-street as well as usually plenty of on-street parking. We offer covered and locked spaces for bikes and other outdoor gear and a washer and dryer are available on request.

Interaction with guests

If possible, we love to greet guests and provide a tour of the house and its amenities, answer questions, and recommend neighborhood eateries and shops. We prefer to send guest on their way after a quick check for left behind items. We live two blocks away and are available to answer questions or address any issues.

Other things to note

Check-in (12-5) and out (noon) times are flexible, depending on how fast we have to turn around the space. Neighborhood is urban and downtown, safe, but lock your car/bike. We can provide locked storage for bikes or motorcycles.

The Adams Street Attic (our other AirBnB) is upstairs and can sleep 4 adults with a queen and king size bed. We can accommodate larger parties that use both spaces - contact the host for details, availability, and rates.

This is a lovely residence which will serve your needs well, especially for access to Downtown Eugene. We stayed in the front-entrance part of the property (downstairs). We appreciated the period decorations and furnishings. Kitchen utensils were well stocked. Separate occupant upstairs during our stay was not a distraction or noticed. Landscaping and upkeep of building was excellent. Location was in walking distance of downtown. Nice selection of books. Wifi works well; no local or cable TV in-house so you will need to arrange streaming service if you want to watch / listen to local news. The guest binder provided by host answers all your questions about the use of home and suggestions for local coffee, dining etc.

Ted's house is quaint and comfortable. We recently stayed during the Solar Eclipse for a family reunion and it was perfect. The house was clean and well stocked with treats. Ted is always willing to be helpful and communicate with you to make your stay the best. He even made sure to send back a left phone charger!

Ted, Stephanie, and our dog River enjoy going to the park to throw the ball, long bike rides, cooking, and some quality garage saleing with our good friends Jay and Ann.
