My place is a beautifully appointed 2 bedroom apartment 3 bus stops from Circular Quay in Sydney's CBD. Newly renovated with a King Bed, there is NETFLIX, 6 seat breakfast bench, swimming pool, car parking space, a full size bath, European & Australian cookware and a light filled living room leading out to leafy balcony. The apartment is 82 sq m | 882 sq ft layout.
If you've never heard of Cammeray I think you will love it here. I really enjoy sharing my place in this awesome part of Sydney. The surrounding suburb & area has loads to offer with the City, Sydney & Middle Harbour, great food & Restaurants & multiple parklands being only moments away.

A beautifully presented 2 bedroom apartment showcases designer style throughout - close to public transport, cafes & food establishments - The Cammeray Hideaway is in a great area of Sydney. A King sized bed is housed in the Master Bedroom with a built in wardrobe. All the linen in the apartment is organic cotton and is from EcoDownunder here in Australia.
The kitchen has all European & Australian cookware & cutlery throughout (Tefal, EStelle, Robert Gordon, Atlanta Bartlett, Zwilling J.A. Henckels) and the massive (430 litre) Westinghouse fridge can house plenty of food - naturally a dishwasher, oven & microwave are also here. There is also a Ultrastream Water Filter, Ionizer & Alkalizer in the kitchen too. Makes the best drinking water you've ever tasted. - Australian designed/Made in the USA. There is also a Vitamix (blender)
This apartment runs on 100% renewable energy
The apartment is perfect for anyone including holiday makers, visiting parents and friends, singles or a couple on a business trip. Or even a family or a couple who has just arrived in Sydney and are getting a feel for the city whilst house & job hunting for a long term stay
At night the living room can become if required a 3rd bedroom (with its full black out plantation shutters) for a 3rd guest or alternatively the extra mattress can be set up in the master bedroom. The 3rd bed is a BlackRock Mega Deluxe (top of the range - worth $500) single inflated/adjustable mattress. The mattress is already inflated and is very comfortable (it's 12cm thick) Suitable for all sizes the BlackRock's are 198cm long by 77cm wide (as a single bed).
The double/two singles have fully fitted sheet sets & organic cotton blankets for the Summer months. In the Winter months each single bed & the double have a snug 100% Australian Wool Doona (Duvet/Continental Quilt/Comforter) for each. The King Bed has a full organic cotton sheet set with cotton blanket in the Summer months and for the Winter months have snug 100% Australian Wool Doona (Duvet/Continental Quilt/Comforter) too
Cammeray Village (Miller St, Cammeray) & nearby Neutral Bay (especially Grosvenor Street, Neutral Bay) has some excellent Restaurant, Bar & Food options. If you like Yoga there is also some great Yoga Studio's nearby too. I have some laminated local guide books & maps so you can find your way to all these places
The apartment also has an internal laundry with a Miele washing machine so you can do some washing during your stay. There is also a dryer in the apartment.
*CHECK IN/CHECK OUT TIMES: I'm happy for guests to have early check in's and late check out's if the apartment is available.
If your Check-in day ends up being on a day when a guest group is Checking out (at 10am on the same morning) then your Check-in time automatically reverts to 4:30pm that day. The reason being is that the cleaners need at least 6 hours to clean and prepare the apartment for you (and the earliest they can begin cleaning is 10:30am on that day)
If you arrive in Sydney early on your Check-in day and you want access to the apartment then book one night earlier to accomodate this please. That's what I do when I travel if "Checking-in early" is imperative to me
*The Check-In time by default is 2pm (if the apartment is available earlier in the day then I'm flexible with the Check In time). The Check out time is 10am (if the apartment is available later into the day then I'm flexible on the Check Out time). Only if the apartment isn't getting cleaned or prepared for the next visitors or from the previous visitors is a flexible Check In or Check Out available*
*I've created a pocket sized booklet on "how to use public transport to and from Cammeray" for guests. A simple guide on how to make best use of Sydney's great public transport network whilst visiting. Public transport is very good from Cammeray (to and from Sydney's CBD/City/North Sydney and also further afield). Sydney has very good public transport considering it's such a large, wide city. Bus stops are 150 metres away from the building in either direction
The Cammeray Hideaway has 3 separate sit or stand desks & tables. One in the living room, one on the balcony and also one in the master bedroom. You may sit at any of them by using one of the high stools or a high chair. You may also stand at these desks too. It's becoming more common that people use sit/stand desks at work. Good for your posture & and you can sit or stand as you please
My apartments parking space is only suited for small to medium sized cars. The reason for this is there are two very tight corners in the buildings car park on the way to my apartments car parking space that large long vehicles struggle to clear properly.
The following cars (or similar) CAN PARK in my car space in the building (for example: Volkswagen Golfs, Tiguans, Audi A4's or Q3's, Toyota Camrys & Corollas, Subaru Liberty, Outback, BMW X3's, any small KIA's, Holdens, Suziki's etc or similar - nothing longer than 4.7 metres).
The following cars (or similar) CANNOT PARK in my car space: Any big SUV's, people movers or large 4WD's (BMW X5's, X6's Audi Q7's, Mercedes ML's, Toyota Tarago, Klugers, Nissan Pathfinders, MItsubishi Pajero's, Prado or Landcruisers, Honda Odyssey etc or similar (anything longer than 4.7 metres) will need to park on the nearby streets that are all within 2 minutes walk of the building. There is ample all day (free) street parking in the surrounding streets
And yes girls/women & some guys: There is a hairdryer. It's a Vidal Sassoon Venezia 2400. Ionic Ceramic. Which I think translates to "dries hair good"
I do wish the view was a little better from the apartment, it's ok, u get some nice views although one building nearby takes away a great water view. During the day and also in the morning the sounds of birds like cockatoo's & rainbow lorikeet's in the nearby valley and Primrose Park is really special
The balcony has a really lovely selection of medium sized tree's and flowering plants. There is a fold down wooden table as well which fits two people, two stools and some food and drinks. The southerly breeze comes up the hill from middle harbour every night and it's a really peaceful spot. Even bring out your laptop for some emailing or such things, read a book or have breakfast
*the cleaning fee explained: when a cleaner cleans my apartment and prepares it for incoming guests it takes anywhere between 5 to 6 hours each time and so its much longer, more expensive & more detailed than a regular apartment clean*
The building's swimming pool is open from 6am to 10pm all year round. It is very well maintained and cleaned regularly. It gets full sun all day round
The living room has a 6 seat breakfast bench with a kettle and toaster ready for tea, coffee and breakfast. There is a great selection of Organic tea and some Organic Coffee too. On the breakfast bench you can have dinner, spread out with a newspaper, play cards or use your laptop. The breakfast bench is designed to sit at or stand at
I also have a full set of Peppa Pig kid's cutlery, plates, cups etc. Great for young children (5 and under) who need smaller sized cutlery. The apartment has a Noirot heater (French) that keeps the whole space warm
All the interior decorations are original. A 1970's London street sign, An Australian & World map from the 1960's (from an old school) a farming sign from 1920's Victoria, and some cool film set stills (photo's) that I found in an antique store in Sydney
A Panasonic 50' LED Smart TV with a BLU Ray/DVD player is attached to the living room wall for watching TV or a movie whilst lazying on the couch. NETFLIX is also in the apartment
Stay a few nights or stay a while
Oh yeah and bring boardies, sneakers and shorts for some exercise & a swim - as it's a great suburb & city for that
You'll have private access to everything in the apartment. Cooking & kitchen facilities, washing machine, a bit of supplied food to get started, access to the swimming pool, DVD's, NETFLIX, magazines, books & WiFi, etc. A good magazine or book beats the internet any day.
The clothes dryer is shared which is down the hall in the laundry room on the same side of the hallway as the lift.
Guests also have access to the buildings swimming pool that is cleaned weekly, a car parking space and also the grassed surrounds of the building is great for children.
Cammeray Shopping Village/Miller Street Shops is a short 8 minute walk - 800 metres away.
North Sydney Skate Plaza, Cammeray Golf Course & Cammeray Tennis Club are all only 500 metres away or a 6 minute walk.
Interaction with guests
I'll normally welcome guests to the apartment. If I can't and I'm at work there is a keysafe that I'll give you the information for. I give my guests space but am available when needed. Otherwise the place is all yours.
